Eyewitness Volcano Reading and Worksheets

Eyewitness Volcano is an excellent video on basically plate tectonics.  It covers volcanoes, but it also covers earthquakes.  Both volcanoes and earthquakes owe much or all of their existence to plate tectonics.  Since this video is several years old, I worked on this and updated the reading to talk about more recent geological events.  The worksheet pages are also updated.

This reading and the worksheets are made to accompany the excellent video called Eyewitness Volcano.  The video is available online.  Just do a Google search under videos.  I hope that in this era we are now in, with schools closed in many parts of the world, that teachers and parents may be able to use these worksheets and readings that I developed back when I was teaching science.

There are many ways you could use this reading and the worksheets.  You could read the "readings" from this blog and only print the worksheets.  Or you can print both the 3 pages of the reading and the 3 worksheet pages.  The reading has all the answers highlighted within the text.  The last page of the worksheets has MOST of the answers listed.
