Adison the Wyoming Cowgirl - coloring page

This is a free coloring pages blog.

There are over 1500 coloring page drawings for you to print and color.

Today's new drawing is of a young Wyoming cowgirl.

Adison the Young Wyoming Cowgirl

Adison is a young resident of Wyoming, USA.  She rides horses.  Her father is even a horse trainer and cowboy who also teaches other people how to ride.  Adison is also a very nice young woman of upper elementary school age.  Adison is blonde if you are wanting to color her accurately.  The photo this drawing is based on was actually taken at a rodeo competition.  By the way, the name "Adison" can also be spelled "Addison."  It was originally a male name but it has also become more popular now as a girl name.

More Unicorn Fairies coloring pages

Welcome to my free coloring pages blog.

Today the new drawing is of another Unicorn Fairy.

Rachellia the Unicorn Fairy

Rachellia is one of the Unicorn Fairies.  She loves Unicorns.  Here her Unicorn friend, Lavia, is helping her conjer up a firelight.  A Firelight is a magical fire that gives light but does not burn. Rachellia is at half-mortal size here.  Her natural state is about 5 inches tall.

Unicorns often spend the winter months in Fairy villages.  Fairies build their villages underground under and in tree roots.  To spend time down in a Fairy village a Fairy has to use a shrinking charm on the Unicorn to make it about 7 inches tall.  The reducing charm is best performed in daylight so here Rachellia and Lavia are conjuring up the Firelight charm so Rachellia the Unicorn Fairy can see clearly when she magically miniaturizes Lavia, her Unicorn Friend.

Dimetrodon the Mammal-like Reptile coloring pages

Hi!  This is my free coloring pages blog.

Today's new drawing is of a Dimetrodon, a Mammal-like reptile.

Scroll down to see lots of different coloring pages.

OR just click on the category of your choice for printable coloring pages.

The newest drawings are always at the bottom of the lists.

Dimetrodon the Mammal-like Reptile

Often confused with dinosaurs, Dimetrodon was NOT a dinosaur.  It was actually a Mammal-like Reptile that lived in the Permian Period... way before dinosaurs ever evolved.  In fact, Dimetrodon was probably an ancestor to all modern mammals.  Its name means "two-length teeth" because it basically was the first animal with fangs... hence teeth of two different lengths.

Dimetrodon was a predator that grew up to 11.5 feet or 3.5 meters long.  It hunted other sail-back reptiles in the late Permian Period... again, this was WAY before the dinosaurs had evolved.  Dimetrodon walked on all fours and looked like a large lizard but it was a mammal-like reptile.  Its sail was probably used to regulate heat.  Dimetrodon could stand perpendicular to the sun to warm up in the moring, and face the sun to cool off in the afternoon.

NOTE:  This drawing, in printable form, can be found by clicking on the "Paleontology"  button and then scrolling down the drop-down menu or list of drawings.  New drawings are at the bottom of the correct lists.  Look for the list that says "Animals of the Paleozoic Era" AFTER you click on the "Paleontology" button.  This drawing's title will be at the bottom of that section.  Below is an older drawing from an older post of a Dimetrodon.

Female Shepherd visits Baby Jesus and Mary coloring page

Welcome to my Free Coloring Pages blog!

Today's new drawing is a shepherd visiting Baby Jesus and Mary.

Female Shepherd meets Baby Jesus and Mary

I learned that there WERE female shepherds back in ancient Israel.  This means that it is quite possible that one or more of the shepherds that met the newborn Baby Jesus was a female shepherd.  To that end, I drew a female shepherd.  She probably would have visited with a group of other shepherds but what if she ran her own flock and came to see the Son of God on her own.  I can see her bringing a lamb as a gift.

Some mangers back then were made of stone or brick so that is how I chose to draw this manger.  A manger that high would have been for larger animals like horses and camels.  Mary is there with her baby and perhaps Joseph is taking a rest.  Although having just had a baby Mary would need rest more, Baby Jesus is dressed in wraps that they called swaddling clothes.  Arms and legs were wrapped after the baby was born.  These were used for infants as well to restrict their movement and calm the baby.  This practice fell out of acceptance in the 17th century.

Notice that Baby Jesus is the light source in this drawing.  Jesus IS the light of the world.  He is our Saviour and Redeemer.  I know that he paid the price for our sins so that repentance is possible.  His atonement makes it so that when we repent and try to do better... and endure to the end... we can return to live with our Heavenly Parents..  In fact, before He came to Earth Jesus was with our Heavenly Father and our Heavenly Mother.  We ALL lived in the premortal life before we came to Earth.

M-4 Sherman Medium Tank coloring page

Welcome to my free coloring pages blog!

(If you are looking for other drawings scroll down.)

Today's new drawing is of an M-4 Medium Tank from World War II.

M-4 Sherman Medium Tank

The M-4 Sherman was the most widely produced tank from World War II.  It was relatively cheap and performed well in combat.  It had a crew of 5 men including commander, gunner, driver, bow gunner, and loader.  Ir was 19 ft 4 in long and 8 ft 7 in wide.  It was 9 ft tall.  It weighed 66,900 lbs.  The Sherman tank had a fuel capacity of 175 gallons. Its maximum road speed was 24 mph and it had a range of 120 miles.

The armament of the Sherman tank included:  75 mm main gun with 97 rounds on board, .50 caliber machine gun with 300 rounds and a .30 caliber machine gun with 4750 rounds.

There were over 50,000 M-4 Sherman tanks produced between 1942 and 1945.  They were used by the USA, Great Britain, China, the Free French, and even by the Soviet Union.  The Sherman tank was often outgunned by opponents but it was so reliable and so easily repaired that it was a true asset.

Sherman tanks were involved in the Battle of the Bulge and did well in the snow.  There were several variants of the Sherman tank.

2 More Healer Fairy coloring pages

Hi again!  Welcome to my blog or welcome back to my blog.

This is a free coloring pages blog with hundreds of free coloring pages to print and color.

Today's two new drawings are of Healer Fairies.

Hallia the Healer Fairy

Hallia is a unique type of Healer Fairy... also called a Fairy Healer.  This type of Fairy loves mortals.  Specifically, they love the elderly among the mortals.  They often hang out at care centers, assisted living homes, and nursing homes.  They will patrol the facility in diminutive and invisible form and telepathically whisper notices into caregivers minds when a resident needs assistance.

These are called Curam Faires, (Care Fairies).  Sometimes they appear to residents and cultivate a friendship.  The elderly or disabled residents know to keep their friendship with a Fairy secret.  Hallia is sitting on the edge of a resident's nightstand.  She has dressed in traditionally herbaceous (plant) clothing.

Hallia has lacewings like some insects have.  Notice that she has a flying belt with a Fairy symbol incorporated into the design of the Balteum Volantes.  (That is what the Fairies call their flying belts.)

In this drawing of Hallia, she is sitting on a dresser or nightstand of someone in a care facility.

Tree Fairies - Lania the Narrow-leaved Willow Tree Fairy

Willows are native to many parts of the world.  They are the original source of some medications such as aspirin.  So, Lania is a Healer Fairy who is also a Willow Tree Fairy.  She prefers the Narrow-leaved Willow that is common to much of North America.  It lives along streams and lakes.  She gathers bark to make aspirin.  Salacin is the ingredient that makes aspirin and all willow tree bark has it.  Lania is kind of sitting or leaning on one willow branch and one foot is resting on another branch.

Lania is also a specialized Fairy Healer who often cares for Fairies and mortals who have an emergency situation such as being injured in an accident.  Lania and most Fairies wear a flying belt.  This allows them to fly at an increased speed and for longer distances.  Of course, all Fairies can fly without the flying belt, but speed is important in many situations... especially emergency situations.  Being able to fly long distances is also of great importance.

When one of these Subitis Fairies (Emergency Fairies) becomes aware of a need they can fly to the scene at incredible speeds to assist.  Also, some Subitis Fairies transform into mortal size, go to school to get the credentials and become EMTs in order to help mortals in emergency situations.  Of course, these Fairies can magically internalize their wings and put a cloaking charm on their pointed ears to fool mortals.

It takes a special kind of caring person to be either a Subitis Fairy or a Curum Fairy.  Many of them who like mortals go on to go to mortal nursing schools or medical schools.  They also often marry a mortal and choose a mortal existence.  They find joy in serving others.  Of course, they always clue their spouse in on the existence of the Fairy Realm hidden out in forests or deserts, etc.  Many of these hybrid families vacation in the Fairy realm.  Sometimes their children choose to join Fairy society.

I should add that because of the leaking sap from willow bark there are many types of butterflies that hang out around willow trees.  For this reason, Lania's wings are similar to the wings of a Viceroy Butterfly.  IF you saw Lania and you were just a normal mortal... then you would probably think you saw a Viceroy'Butterfly.  Fairy Magic would do this to your mortal eyes.  SOME mortals are made Fairykind and they would recognize a Fairy as a Fairy.

Thanksgiving Coloring Pages 2021

What was really eaten at the first Thanksgiving feast?

Turkey Cartoon to Color

(Definitely eaten at first Thanksgiving... but it probably did not wear a hat and boots.)

Tom Turkey in the Wild

(Definitely eaten at the first Thanksgiving. Wild Turkeys were very common in the area where the first Thanksgiving took place.  Other forms of wild game were certainly eaten as well.)

Canadian Goose

(May well have been eaten at the first Thanksgiving since geese were often hunted and eaten.  While growing up near a lake in Central Utah my older brothers shot several geese and ducks for our Thanksgiving dinner.  They were delicious, but myself, as the little brother, had to pluck them all!      My hands were about frozen when I finally got done plucking 4 geese and 6 ducks.)

Whitetail Deer Buck

(Certainly was eaten at the first Thanksgiving... one account says the Native Americans brought 5 deer.)

Mallard Ducks

(Possibly eaten at the first Thanksgiving.  Records show that many fowl were shot for the feast.

The male Mallard Duck has a blue-green head & the females' feathers are a spotty brown)

Swan on a Lake flapping Wings

It kind of bothers me but the early colonists and Native Americans in the area of the first Thanksgiving hunted and ate swans.  Swans are my favorite bird to see... but not to eat.  I think swans are the most beautiful bird on the planet.  In fact, they are one of my favorite types of wildlife to view.  As a birder, they are definitely my favorite bird to see... although I am partial to robins... since my name is Robin.  I need to add that I can't be too upset at the Pilgrims eating swans because some of my ancestors were there and if they had not survived I wouldn't be here to draw and post these pictures!

Mule Deer Doe and Fawn

(Very unlikely that this species was eaten for the first Thanksgiving,

but it is one of my latest drawings as so I felt like including it.)

NOTE:  This post for Thanksgiving has no new drawings.  However, it shows what wild game may have been eaten at that first big Thanksgiving feast in Plymouth, Massachusetts.  These drawings can all be found, in printable form, by clicking on either the "Holidays" button, or the "Animals" button, or the "Birds" button.

Mule Deer Doe and Fawn and other Deer Family coloring pages

Hi!  If you are a regular visitor to my blog then it's "Hi again!!"

This is a free coloring pages blog.  Today's first new post is of a Mule Deer doe and her young fawn.

Mule Deer Doe and Fawn

Mule Deer are a common deer found in the Western USA, Western Canada, and much of Northern Mexico.  It is a bit bigger than the White-tail Deer that are more common in the Eastern United States and Eastern Canada.  Actually, White-tailed Deer are seen in the Western USA, just much more rarely seen here in Utah, USA, where I live.  Mule Deer have the characteristic of large mule-like ears, hence the name.

Mule Deer can grow to be up to 350 lbs or about 160 kg.  They are up to 3 feet tall at the shoulders.  That is about a meter tall.  The antlers of Mule Deer are different from the antlers of Whitetailed Deer. By the way, you can write it White-tailed Deer or Whitetail Deer.  or you can write it without capitalizing the words.  I just like to capitalize the names of species.

NOTE:  This new drawing up above can be found, in printable form, by clicking on the button labeled "Animals."  Then scroll down to the bottom for this new drawing.  The older drawings are found further up the list.  I am posting below some older drawings of members of the Deer Family.

Desert Fairies coloring pages

Welcome to my free coloring pages blog!

Today's free coloring page is a drawing of Annia, an Arizona Desert Fairy

Annia the Arizona Desert Fairy

Annia is a Desert Fairy.  More specifically she is an Arizona Desert Fairy.  (Notice the Saguaro Cactus.)  Annia is beautiful, in all ways.  You see, most Fairies know that we are only as beautiful as our personality.  Aniia is beautiful on the outside but she is also beautiful on the inside.  She is kind, unselfish, and a good Christian in every way.  (Yes, many Fairies are Christian.  They converted when Christian missionaries made it to where they lived in Northern Europe and the British Isles around 1100 A.D.  Eventually, the European Fairies migrated to America and other places all over the world and brought Christianity to the other Fairies.)

Most Fairies can transform from Fairy size to mortal size or any size in between.  In this drawing, Annia is mortal size.  Notice the small Kangaroo Rat nearby.  Desert Fairies in the Southwestern USA and Mexico are often friendly with the local Kangaroo Rats.

I should mention that Annia has a name that comes from ancient Rome.  So it is Latin.  "Annia" means "Priceless One."  This beautiful name has only rarely made it to the modern world among mortals, but it is more common among Fairies.  Of course, the Fairies live among us in hidden tiny communities generally under and in tree roots.  And some Fairies come to study and work with mortals... and we never know because Fairy magic allows them to hide their beautiful wings and cute pointed ears from us.

NOTE:  This drawing, in printable form, can be found by clicking on the "Fantasy, Myths, and Circus" button and then scrolling down.  New drawing titles are at the bottom of the drop-down menu.  Just click on the title and you will get your printable drawing of Annia.  Below are some older drawings of other Desert Fairies.  These are older drawings so they will be found further up the printables list.   Let me add that as an artist, I have gotten better since I drew some of the below drawings.

Healer Fairies coloring pages

Welcome to my free coloring pages blog.

I just got out of the hospital and these are drawings I did while I was there.

So they are "Healer Fairies."

I am posting these 4 Healer Fairy drawings.  It may take some time.  I am recovering from my Hospital Stay and I keep falling asleep at the switch... or falling asleep at the computer.

The first Fairy is Cheylia.

Cheylia the Plum Tree Fairy and Healer Fairy

Healer Fairies often take on mortal form and go to mortal school to become nurses, doctors, nursing assistants, physician assistants, respiratory therapists, speech pathologists, and physical therapists.  They are always the kindest of all medical care providers!

Shelbia the Healer Fairy gathering Watercress

Tree Fairies - Madelyn the Pear Tree Fairy and Fairy Healer

Idalissia the Fairy Healer gathering Watercress

A few words about these Fairy Healers and what they are doing.   Some Tree Fairies are also Healer Fairies.  In fact, there are medical and nutritional uses for both plum trees and pear trees.  But you really have to know what you are doing because plum pits contain some hydrochloric acid.  Watercress has the potential to be bad for unborn children.

I personally love watercress sandwiches that are very simple to make.  They are two pieces of white bread, butter on the inside of both pieces of bread... and a bunch of watercress between the pieces of bread.  Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....  I grew up on these.  We'd pick the watercress from the clear mountain stream.

NOTE:  These drawings are found by clicking on the button labeled "Fantasy, Myths, and Circus."  Then scroll down to the bottom of the drop-down many.   Click on the title of the drawing you want to print.

Sampling of Coloring Pages: Unicorns, Fairies, a Rhino, Jesus, Dinosaurs, & Elena of Avalor

Hi readers and colorers.  I want to make a personal note.  This is my last post quite possibly for some time.  I am going into the hospital tomorrow for tests and possibly exploratory surgery.  When I get back home I will be able to post again.  Please pray for me because my health situation is rather critical.  Because I have several new drawings that need to be posted I am doing so tonight.  I will not be able to write as much about each drawing nor post them in separate posts as I would normally do.  Consider this a sampling of my style of coloring pages art.  I hope you enjoy coloring them and again, please pray for me.  I am now posting each drawing... this will take a while.

By the way, these free coloring pages can be found by

clicking on the correct button and scrolling down.

Fantasy, Myths, and Circus  Drawings:

Fairy with Unicorn Foal

Fairy with Unicorn Mare

Elena of Avalar and Jaquin - fan art

(from a Disney show called Elena of Avalor)

(This drawing was done from my grandniece's toys.)

Tree Fairies - Chinese Elm Tree Fairy named Yushu

All Elm Trees have non-symmetrical leaves.  The Chinese Elm is a very successful tree.  It is found widely in towns, cities, and even growing in the wild here in Utah, USA.  It is a great shade tree.  This Chinese Elm Tree Fairy is guarding her tree.  Her name is Yushu... that is the word for Elm in Chinese.

Tree Fairies - Mistletoe Fairy

Mistletoe Fairies gather mistletoe for medicinal uses.  However, the berries of the pant are particularly toxic.  Some experts feel that all of the plant is toxic in one way or another.  Mistletoe is a parasitic plant that attaches itself to certain trees.  In spite of the toxicity, there are several traditional medicinal uses for mistletoe. Notice that this Fairy has a knife instead of a wand.  It is an enchanted knife that works like a wand but is also useful for cutting mistletoe.   Since mistletoe does not lose its leaves it has become a popular Christmas decoration.  Tradition indicates you should stand under the mistletoe to get a kiss.  If the person standing under the mistletoe refuses a kiss they get bad luck.   By the way, the printable version IS darker.  The lines are more visible.

Tree Faires - Eastern White Pine Swallowtail Fairy

There are over 500 species of Swallowtail Butterflies.  There is a Tree Fairy that lives in the Appalachian Mountains that looks much like a Swallowtail Butterfly.  Since Swallowtail Butterflies don't feed on any part of the pine tree you might wonder why this Fairy looks so much like a Swallowtail Butterfly.  The answer is that the pine tree provides the shade that the understory plants that have flowers favored by the Swallowtail Butterflies.  So this type of Fairy lives under this type of tree.  Many Fairy villages are hidden underground under or near a favored tree.

Paleontology drawings:

Titanosaur Mother and Calf

Titanosaurs were the biggest land animals ever to live on Earth.  They were the biggest of the Sauropods.  They include Argenitosaurus and Patagotitan.  Some of the biggest were over 115 feet long and possibly weighed up to 75 tons.

Ceratosaurus near the Forest

Ceratosaurus was a Jurassic Theropod predator that lived at the same time as the much larger Allosaurus.  Few Cetatosaurus fossils have been found.  It is possible that Ceratosaurs were driven to extinction and replaced in the ecosystem by the larger Allosaurus.  Ceratosaurus was around 23 feet or 7 meters long.  Allosaurus could grow to up to 40 feet or 12 meters long.  Ceratosaurus had 3 horns on its head.  It had two brow horns and one nose horn.  All the horns were quite short.  The horns were probably used for sexual display, not for defense.  That means the horns were to impress members of the opposite sex... and of course possibly for species identification.

Sauropod Hatchling

Sauropods hatched from spherical eggs that looked quite a lot like cantaloupe melons.  It is amazing to think that the largest land animals on Earth hatched from an egg the size of a cantaloupe.  Recent studies via cT scans have shown that baby sauropod, while in the egg, had a nose horn and binocular vision.  They lost those trains as they matured. In fact, they may have lost them soon after hatching.

Gastonia and Pteranodon

Gastonia was a Pteranodon with thick dermal armor, but without the clubbed tail that the more well-known Ankylosaurus had.  Still, Gastonia was a type for Ankylosaur.  Gastonia was an herbivore with a length of 16 feet or about 5 meters.  Pteranodon was a common Pterosaur of the Cretaceous Period.

T. rex Mom & Juvenile

Teleoceras the North American Rhino

Teloceras was a large rhino with rather short legs that once lived in North America.

Religion Drawings:

Jesus, as a Young Man close to Jerusalem

I know that Jesus is the Savior of us all.  I know that he is MY Savior as well.  And I know that He can bring me peace in rough times.  Tomorrow I may be under the knife and facing a long recovery from thoracic surgery,  but I am at peace.  I received a blessing . .  in fact I received two blessings from both my sons-in-law.  I am hopeful and expect to live on the Earth for several more years at least.
