F-4 Phantom II Fighter-Bomber

Hi or Hi again.  This is my free coloring pages blog.

I draw coloring pages and post them here.

There are no ads and it is free to print coloring pages for kids or adults to color.

F-4 Phantom II

The F-4 Phantom II is a jet fighter AND a bomber.  It was very fast, inf fact it could go Mach 2.2.  That is almost 1,700 mph.  or over 2,700 kph.  It could carry a load of 18,000 lbs of bombs or 8,165 kg.

The Phantom first saw service in 1961 - the year I was born.  It was designed for the US Navy but soon the Marine Corps and Air Force began flying them too.  It saw a lot of combat in Viet Nam.  At first it was built without a cannon or machine gun.  But that changed when it became incapable of fighting after it shot off all of its missiles.  So the powers that be installed the M-61 Vulcan Rotary Cannon.

Since it's name is the Phantom II... I decided to draw a ghost or phantom in the drawing.  .

It has been replaced in the US Air Force by the F-15 and F-16.  It was replaced in the US Navy by the F-14 and the F-18.

A few countries still fly the F-4 Phantom.

A-10 Thunderbolt and other historical and current military aircraft of the USA

In honor of the Warriors Over The Wasatch Air Show

at Hill Air Force Base here in Utah...

so, I drew one of the military planes we saw.

Several of the other planes I have drawn in the past were also there

so I am re-posting their pictures.

IN FACT, I decided to re-post many of my military aircraft drawings.

A-10 Thunderbolt

The A-10 Thunderbolt is a ground support aircraft flown by the military of the Air Force of the United States of America.  It is also called the Warthog because of the guttural sound its nose-mounted Gatlin gun makes.  The plane was named for the P-47 Thunderbolt of World War II vintage because the P-47 Thunderbolt was very effective at ground attack.

The A-10 Thunderbolt or Warthog is heavily armored for survivability and pilot safety.  It is flown by one pilot and no weapons officer.  It is a very effective weapon for attacking ground targets such as enemy soldiers, tanks, and other armored vehicles.

Between 1972 and 1984 716 A-10s were built.  So this type of aircraft has been around for 50 years.  The US Air Force is considering retiring it.

NOTE:  This new drawing is found by scrolling down after clicking on the button labeled "Vehicles and Military Vehicles."  Then click on the title and you will have a printable drawing to color.  Below are many of my military aircraft drawings.

(It is my favorite plane... AND I recently discovered that it may not be

phased out until the year 2050.  There is even a new F-16 Block 70/72

that is far more modern.  PLUS many of the older F-16s are being upgraded.

Finally, the F-16 is less expensive to buy and operate than other

fighters of the US Air Force's inventory.)

"I should be teaching those kids down there the Gospel of Jesus Christ,

NOT dropping bombs on them."

So he came home and spent decades saving lives and delivering babies...

maybe to make up for having to drop those bombs.

Even so, he strongly believed that Hitler had to be stopped.

Puppy Fairy named Rachellia with Dandy the Micro Mini Goldendoodle

Welcome back to my free coloring pages blog.

I have drawn over 2000 coloring pages that you can print to color.

There are no fees at all on this site.

Today's new drawings are of Puppy Fairies.

Puppy Fairy Rachellia with Dandy close up

Puppy Fairy Rachelia with Dandy from a distance

Rachelia is a Puppy Fairy.  She cares for young puppies like this one in the drawings.  One drawing is of Rachelia with a puppy and it is more of a close-up.  The next drawing is of Rachelia from more of a distance.  She is her normal size of around 5 inches or 12.7 cm so you know this puppy is quite small.

Puppy Fairies are friends and caretakers of puppies and to a lesser extent of dogs.  Puppies are so curious that they get into all kinds of trouble.  Puppy Fairies take care of puppies and keep them safe in spite of their curiosity.  The fact that not a lot of puppies get killed is proof of the existence of Puppy Fairies.

Most humans (and most puppy owners) can't see Puppy Fairies.  Fairy tech combined with Fairy Magic makes it pretty much impossible to see a Fairy unless they deliberately allow a human mortal to see them.

Now, about the sky.  This second drawing is of a puppy named Dandy and Rachelia at night.  Dandy is tiny because he is a Micro Mini Goldendoodle.  The sky reflects in somewhat unrealistic size the parade of planets that happened yesterday.  In order. left to right, they are Venus, Luna (moon), Mars,  Jupiter, and Saturn.  Since Venus is closer to the sun than the Earth and very close to Earth it has such a bright glow that I did not draw any shadow on Venus, even though it has phases, it is so bright to the naked eye that you can't see the phases without a telescope.

Micro Mini Goldendoodle & Part Siamese Cat coloring page

Welcome or welcome back to my free coloring pages blog.

Today's new drawing is of our new doggy and one of our kitties.

If you have wondered why I haven't posted in a while, we, my wife and I

had to go to a big city 100 miles away for medical tests, and appointments.

And we picked up our new puppy so we have been rather busy.

Dandy and Duncan

First of all, I am allergic to most dogs and most cats.  But my wife and I love both.  So do our daughter and her family.  And we live with them in a grandparents' apartment in the house.

We just got a new puppy.  He is a Micro Mini Goldendoodle.  He is SOOOOO cute!!! Micro Mini Goldendoodles are 75% Miniature Poodle and 25% Golden Retriever.  They will only get to between 10 and 15 lbs.  (4.5 to about 7 kg).  We named him Dandy.  Micro Mini Goldendoodles shed very little and are considered hypoallergenic.  I am not allergic to Dandy at all.

Our part Siamese cats are somewhat hypoallergenic.  I am somewhat allergic to them but not severely.  Interestingly enough, Dandy and Duncan play together, even though Duncan is a large adult cat. Although Duncan is not as huge as I drew him here in comparison to Dandy.

NOTE:  This drawing, in printable form, is found by clicking on the "Animals" button.  Then scroll to the bottom of the list.  New drawings are at the bottom of the list.  Click on the title and you get a free coloring page.  Below are photos of both animals.

B-25 Mitchell Bomber and other bombers from World War II Era coloring pages

Welcome to my free coloring pages blog!

Today's new drawing is of a World War II-era bomber called the

North American B-25 Mitchell.

North American B-25 Mitchell

This is the North American B-25 Mitchell.  I am going on a ride in one of these vintage aircraft tomorrow.  In fact, this is a drawing of one I will be flying in.  It is called "The Maid in the Shade."  It is operated by the Arizona Wing of the Commemorative Air Force.

My father was a bomber pilot in World War II.  He flew a B-24.  This B-25 plane is smaller than a B-24 but both were very effective in their role in the war.  9,816  B-25s were built before and during the war and many operated in the military & then civilian roles for 4 decades later.  It is referred to as a medium bomber.  The B-25 medium bomber first went into service in February 1941.

The B-25 was 53 feet long and had a wingspan of 67 feet 6 11/16 inches.  The wing area was 610 square feet.  It could carry 6,746 lbs of bombs.  It had a range of over 3,000 miles.  The B-25 was used in every theater of WW II.

I am very excited about my flight tomorrow morning!

NOTE:  This drawing, in printable form, is found by clicking on the button labeled "Vehicles and Military Vehicles."    Then scroll down to the bottom of the page to see this first and only new drawing on this post.  The other bombers that I am posting down below are further up the printables list.

Jonah and the Whale & a Sperm Whale fighting a Giant Squid coloring pages

Welcome to my blog.  This is a free coloring pages blog that has around 2000 pages to clip and color.

There are no ads and no fees to print a drawing to color.  I am Robin Lyman and I am a retired Science

Teacher.  The drawings were all done by me except for a few done by my grand-niece or grand-nephew.

Today's new drawing is of Jonah and the whale... in fact, there are two drawings that are new today.

Both drawings are of Jonah and the Whale.

Jonah being swallowed by the Whale

Jonah about to be rescued by the Whale

Our 2-year-old granddaughter was coloring a copy of the first drawing and she got upset.  She told her grandmother, "Jonah out! Jonah out! She tried to pull him out of the whale's mouth. So I hurry up and drew the other picture for her so she wouldn't be upset.

The story of Jonah is in the Holy Bible in the Old Testament.  In that story, Jonah is told to call the people of the city of Ninevah to repentance.  He fears them so he tries to get on a ship and run from the Lord.  But the Lord sent a storm and so Jonah fessed up to the crew that he was responsible because her ran from the Lord.  So Jonah suggests that they throw him overboard.  But the crew are nice people and don't want to kill him so they try to row to shore.  When that doesn't work they reluctantly throw Jonah overboard.  It appears, if you read the whole story, that Jonah was drowning when he was swallowed by a whale.  I think it was a sperm whale.  The sperm whale in the first drawing is breaching.  He or she has already caught Jonah in his or her mouth.

So Jonah is in the belly of the whale for 3 days, just like Jesus' body was in the tomb for only 3 days.  So when the whale spits him out, apparently on land near Ninevah... the formerly reluctant prophet went to preach to the people there.  To his surprise, the king and people of Ninevah repented completely.  So Jonah had been told to tell them that their city would be destroyed if they would not repent.  Then when it was not destroyed Jonah got mad about the whole thing.

The Lord told him that they had repented and they were valuable souls.  For the whole story see the book of Jonah in the Old Testament half of the Holy Bible.

By the way, I think there is a lesson here that when we repent the Lord will forgive.  Jonah was forgiven and the people of Ninevah were forgiven as well.

Sperm whales are toothed whales and they normally eat giant squid.  In fact, a drawing of a sperm whale fighting with a giant squid is one of my most popular posts. Sperm whales can get to 59 feet or 18 meters long and they weigh 59 tons.  Sperm whales can dive very deep into the ocean to find their prey.  Sperm whales can go to depths that would crush a human to goo.  But the sperm whale can handle the incredible pressure without a problem.

NOTE:  The drawing, in printable form, is found by clicking on the button labeled "Religious."  Then scroll down to the bottom of the Old Testament section.  New drawings are always at the bottom of the list.  Below is my older drawing of a sperm whale taking on a giant squid. THIS drawing is found, in printable form by clicking on the "Animals" button.  Then just scroll and search.

Butterfly Fairy on a Hilltop and other Butterfly Fairies coloring pages

Hi!  Welcome or welcome back to my free coloring pages blog!

Today's new drawing is of a Butterfly Fairy.

She is in mortal size and she is

on a  hilltop.

Butterfly Fairy on a Hilltop

(new drawing today)

Butterfly Fairies love butterflies.  This one is in mortal size and sitting on a grassy hilltop.  She is being visited by a butterfly.  All Fairies have the ability to transform to mortal size.  Fairies have both magic and high technology and they integrate the two.  This Butterfly Fairy is named Zahli.  She loves to fly far and wide and discover and meet new butterflies.  Some species of butterfly live only high up in the mountains.  Others live in the valleys or flatlands.  Zahli prefers the mountains or even the hilly country of some countries.  She is legendary for her travels.  She, herself, has identified 8 new butterfly species.

By the way, Zahli means "graceful princess," or "highborn lady."  Zahli is the daughter of the  Fairy Queen and King.  She hails from Ireland and has red hair and very fair Irish skin.  She uses a sun-blocking charm when out searching for butterflies so her skin does not get sunburned.

NOTE:  Below are more Butterfly Fairies from past posts.  To find the printable version of today's new drawing just go to the button labeled "Fantasy, Myths, and Circus."  Then scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the title.  These printable pages are in PDF format and have darker lines than the PDF pictures on this page.

Happy National Dinosaur Day! Featuring parent and baby dinosaurs: Austroposeidon, Triceratops, Stegosaurus, and T. rex coloring pages

 Happy National Dinosaur Day!

OK, it was two days ago but still... These drawings were all done within this week of

National Dinosaur Day.  So, come to think of it, we should call it National Dinosaur Week!

MOST of these drawings are cartoon drawings. One drawing is more realistic.

All of these drawings are new so enjoy coloring them!

Notice that the volcanoes have a big lava flow going down the slopes of the volcano.  This hot liquid rock is lava and it could be colored orange or red-orange.   Below the active lava,  is older lava flows that have cooled and gone to a solid-state of matter.  The older flows are about to get covered in new lava.  This is how volcanoes grow.

Austroposeidon with Young  (realistic)

Austroposeidon was a huge Titanosuar from Brazil.  It was 82 feet or 25 meters long!

Jesus in the Mountains of Judea and other Portraits of Jesus coloring pages

Welcome to my blog of free coloring pages!

Today's NEW drawing is of

Jesus in the mountains of Judea.

Jesus in the Mountains of Judea

(new drawing)

Jesus often went off into the wilderness or the hills to commune with his (& our) Father in Heaven.  Of course, Jesus was the only begotten in the flesh.  Heavenly Father is the Father of our Spirits.  And we members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints believe that we even have a Mother in Heaven.  So we have Heavenly Parents who are the Parents of our Spirits.  Jesus was our oldest Spirit Brother in our Pre-mortal Life.  He volunteered and was chosen to be our Savior.  His suffering and death paid the eternal price for our sins.  We call that the Atonement of Jesus Christ.  His atonement made repentance possible.

So, everyone sins.  That would mean we could never be cleaned from our sins and someday return to be with our Heavenly Parents.  Jesus' suffering and death paid the eternal price for our sins so we can repent of our sins and be cleansed by His atonement.... which He willingly did for us.

NOTE:  This drawing, in printable form, is found by clicking on the"Religious" button and scrolling to the bottom of the New Testament list.   The other drawings are also found in that list but further up the list.
