Anniversary of Joseph Smith meeting the Angel Moroni coloring page

This month is the 200th anniversary of the visit of the Angel Moroni to Joseph Smith.

Angel Moroni visits Joseph Smith

200 years ago this month the Angel Moroni appeared to Joseph Smith and told him about the Book of Mormon golden plates.  This eventually led to the translation of the Golden Plates into what is now known as the Book Of Mormon Another Testament of Jesus Christ.

Millions of poeple have read the English translation of the Golden Plates.  It has been translated into  115  other languages.  The Angel Moroni was the ancient Nephite prophet who buried the Golden Plates in Upstate New York in the USA.  The book tells the story of people who came ato nd settled in the New World many centuries ago.  It also tells of Jesus Christ visiting them after His resurrection.  He taught the people his Gospel.

NOTE: This is one of my oldest drawings on this blog so it has issues.  If you want to print it just  find it by clicking on the "Religion" button and scroll down to the top of the Latter-Day Saints section.  This drawing is found there.  When you click on it you may need to ask permission to print it.  I will grant that when I check my Gmail.  Sorry about the inconvenience.

There are many other drawings of a religious nature that you can
find by clicking the "Religious" button.

Licorneah the Young Unicorn Fairy coloring page

Welcome or welcome back!

This is a free coloring pages blog with around 2800 coloring pages that I have

drawn that you can print to color.

Licorneah the Young Unicorn Fairy

Licorneah is a Unicorn Fairy.  She is young but very talented.  Like all Fairies, she can use a diminutivizing charm and reduce her size to her regular 4 inches tall.  She can reduce the Unicorn is size as well - with the same charm.  To be able to do that Charm at such a young age (she is 12) is impressive.  She is seen here with her Unicorn friend Gwynnia.  They are best friends and they will be spending the winter together in Licorneah's underground Fairy village.  These Fairy villages are beautiful, well-lit chambers with hundreds of Fairies in each village.  Unicorns often spend the winter with the Fairies in their warm and safe villages.

NOTE:  This drawing, in printable form, can be found by clicking on the button labeled "Fantasy, Myths, and Circus" and then scrolling down to the bottom of the list.  New drawings are at the bottom of the correct page.  I hope you or your child or children have fun coloring. By the way, there are many many drawings of Fairies or a Fairy with a Unicorn on this coloring pages blog.

Two Unusual yet Similar Ceratopsians from Canada - Regaliceratops & Albertaceratops dinosaur coloring pages

 Welcome or welcome back!

This is a free coloring pages blog with over 2700 drawings that I have drawn.

You can print the drawings to color.

Today's new drawings are of two Ceratopsians or horned dinosaurs

from Alberta, Canada.

Regaliceratops the Royal Horned Dinosaur

Regaliceratops had a frill that looked like a crown, hence the kingly or queenly name. It was 16 feet or 5 meters long with a weight of 2,2 tons or 2200 lbs or a mass of 2 metric tons.  Regaliceratops had relatively short brow horns compared to the more well-known Triceratops.  In fact, Regaliceratops had a longer nose horn than its brow horns.

Albertaceratops a Horned Dino from Alberta

Albertaceratops is very similar to Regaliceratops.  But it had a bony ridge instead of a nose horn.  AND Albertaceratops had much longer brow horns.  Albertaceratops was a bit larger than Regaliceratops.  Albertaceratops was around 19 feet or 5.8 meters long.  It weighed around 7700 lbs or 3.85 tons or a mass of 3.5 metric tons.

NOTE:  These new drawings, in printable form, are found by clicking on the button labeled "Paleontology."  Then scroll down to the bottom of the Mesozoic section.  Have fun coloring!

By the way, there are many other Ceratopsian drawings to print and color further up that list.

Kennediyala the Dragonfly & Mushroom Fairy coloring page

Hi folks!  There has been some problems with my

laptop computer so that is why it has been a few days since I

posted another one of my new drawings.

This drawing was done from a photo of

one of the same models I have drawn before.

The drawing is of a multitasking Fairy.

She is both a Dragonfly Fairy and a Mushroom Fairy.

Kennediyala the Dragonfly & Mushroom Fairy

Some Fairies are multitaskers.  Kennediyala is one of those.  Although she is very young, she chooses to serve both dragonflies and mushrooms.  In other words, she cares for them in the wild.  With dragonflies she helps them be safe from predators.

Dragonflies are in Order: Odanata.  Damselflies are also in this order and point of fact, Dragonfly Fairies also love and look after damselflies as well as dragonflies.  Both a dragonfly and a damselfly are seen in this drawing.  Damselfies look like a mini-dragonfly.

Millions of years ago there were dragonflies with a wingspan of 71 cm or 2 ft 4 inches.  Back then there was a lot more oxygen in the atmosphere so insects and spiders could and did get quite large compared to today.

With mushrooms, she cares for the fungi but she also harvests mushrooms for food for her Fairy Troupe.  It is very important that a Mushroom Fairy can distinguish the different kinds of fungi.  Some toadstools look like edible mushrooms but they will kill a mortal or make them very ill.

I want to personally note that we had a kitten take one bite from a toadstool and he died 3 feet away in the flowerbed.  So unless you have extensive training and knowledge DON'T eat the toadstools off of your lawn or in the forest etc.  They are very possibly deadly. If you DO have that kind of extensive training and knowledge then you still must be very careful to not mix up a poisonous mushroom from a safe-to-eat mushroom.

The mushrooms we buy in the store are cultivated and all very safe.  & they are delicious in my opinion.

NOTE:  This new drawing is found by clicking on the button labeled "Fantasy, Myths, and Circus" and then scrolling down to the bottom of the list.  New drawings are always found at the bottom of the list of drawing titles.

A Shark Mermaid named Kayia and a Mangrove Fairy named Marinia coloring pages

Hi!  Sorry I have not posted in  few days.

I had surgery and it went very well.

So here are two drawings I have done during my recovery.

Both are ocean-related.

Kayia the Shark Mermaid

I have drawn Kayia before.  She is a beautiful and brilliant Mermaid. I have drawn her again to point out that one of her roles is to be a Shark Mermaid and care for sharks in the ocean.  Sharks help keep the ocean ecosystem balanced and humans (not Mermaids) are wastefully killing millions of sharks for shark-fin soup.  In my opinion that is very immoral.

Kayia is seen here swimming with sharks - possibly the Black-Tipped Shark.  Merpeople have powerful magic and so a shark would not DARE to try harm or eat a mermaid or merman.

Marinia the Mangrove Fairy

Marinia is a Mangrove Fairy.  She helps protect a very important part of the Earth's marine ecosystem.  Mangrove roots provide a nursery where billions of juvenile fish live and grow.  Notice that Marina has butterfly-like wings because ": Lepidoptera" or butterflies and months are the most common insects in the mangrove forests of the Earth.  Mangrove forests are found in estuaries where the sea meets freshwater from rivers and streams.

In this drawing, Marinia is seen with a butterfly when the tide is low.  She is in her native 5-inch or 12.7 cm height and wading in the very shallow seawater.  She is wading between the roots of the mangrove trees.  Of course, Fairies can magically transform to mortal size... when they want to or need to.  Marinia is seen wearing her favorite type of clothing - that is leaf-based clothing.  She has put a charm on the leaves to help them hold together.  She also did a shrinking charm because these are mangrove leaves.

You might have noticed that the butterfly that is greeting Marinia has similar wings to her Fairy friend.  The average mortal - if they saw Marinia - would see a butterfly because Fairies have magical concealment charms that trick mortal minds.

Mangrove Fairies have magically slightly elongated arms - for climbing in the mangrove roots and up in the branches as well.  I will be drawing more Mangrove Fairies in the future.

Paul sees Jesus on the road to Damascus coloring page

Welcome or welcome back to my free coloring pages blog.

My name is Robin Lyman and I love to draw coloring pages.

There are over 2700 drawings on this blog that you can print to color.

Today's new drawing is of Paul the Apostle...

BEFORE he was an Apostle... so his name was still Saul.

Paul sees Jesus on the road to Damascus

Some people think that Paul only heard Jesus when he, (then known as Saul) saw a light and heard a voice.  But when Paul was defending himself in Jerusalem it feels like he implies that he also saw the resurrected and glorified Jesus of Nazareth when he had the vision on the road to Damascus.  By the way, "Saul" was going to Damascus to arrest Christians.  His vision immediately converted him and Paul soon became quite possibly the greatest missionary of all time.

"Saul" changed his name to a more Gentile name when he went out to teach the people of the Roman Empire.  He changed his name to Paul.  The Apostle Paul had great conviction and he traveled for many many miles over many years to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Paul also later wrote many letters to the cities... or to the people in cities where he had preached.  Those letters make up a large part of the New Testament of the Holy Bible.

There is some early Christian writing that says Paul was a man who was small of stature and had crooked legs.  But it also says he had a very friendly face.  It was also thought that he was bald, although since he was a young man at the time of his first vision, I drew him with hair and a somewhat receding hairline.  I would assume he had more hair when he was young and lost much of it over the years.

NOTE:  This drawing is found in printable form by clicking on the "Religious" button and then scrolling down to the bottom of the New Testament section.  Have fun coloring!

By the way, please include me in your prayers because I have surgery on Tuesday.  If all goes well I will be posting more drawings in a few days.  If there are problems it will probably take me several days to "escape" the hospital.  In that case it may be a week or two before I can post new drawings.  Thank you to all of you who have read my blog and/or printed my coloring pages.  God bless you all!

Happy 99th Birthday President Russell M. Nelson coloring page

 Welcome back to my blog.

THIS picture is the second one I have posted today.

In this case it is a re-posting of a drawing that I did a few years ago.

President and Sister Nelson

President Russell Marion Nelson is a great heart surgeon.  He was a pioneer in open heart surgery.  He trained many many other physicians and surgeons so his work as a surgeon has had a lasting impact in the world.  He also personally saved many lives by his surgical skills.

But he is also the prophet of God.  He was called to the Quorum of 12 Apostles of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  As an Apostle and now as the President and Prophet of the Lord.  His impact from his service as a man of God has had an even greater impact!

I know that he is a modern prophet of God.  His messages have inspired me and strengthened my faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.  He leads the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, which is the Kingdom of God on Earth.  This church is a restoration of the church Jesus and His apostles established.  The priesthood authority to act in the name of God was also restored.

NOTE:  I am reposting this drawing so I will also repost the printable version on the bottom of the Religious section of my blog.  Secifically look for the label; Restoration of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.   First click on the button labeled "Religious" and scroll to the bottom of the list.

This drawing, in printable form, is ALSO found at the bottom of the "People and Portraits" list.  So click on that button and scroll down.

Dinohyus the Terrible Pig coloring page

Welcome to my free coloring pages blog.

I drew almost all of these drawings.

A grandniece and grandnephew drew a few.

There are no ads and no fees to print a page to color.

Today's new drawing is of a huge prehistoric pig.

Dinohyus the Terrible Pig

Dinohylus was a huge prehistoric mammal.  It was basically a pig as big as an American Bison.  It has also been compared to a Clydesdale horse and a modern rhinoceros. It had huge teeth including tusks.  It weighed around 2000 lbs or around 900 kg.  It was around 6.5 feet or 2 meters tall at its hump... located at the shoulders. It was 3.6 meters or almost 12 feet long.

Dinohylus was an omnivore so it probably scavanged carrion and at leaves and fruits. It also may have been a hunter.  It has been called the "Killer Pig."  It lived 20-23 million years ago.

Sadly, it is now generally accepted that this huge mammalian animal was first named Daedon.  Too bad.  Dinohylus means "Terrible Pig."  It lived on the plans of North America.

We saw a model of this at the Denver Museum of Natural History.  It was intimidating.  Here is a photo:

I think I will draw another drawing of Dinohyus based on this photo.  But not today.

Kenediya the Dolphin Mermaid coloring page

 Welcome to my blog.

Today's new drawing is of a young Mermaid.

Her name is Kenediya and she is only 6 years old.

Kenediya the Dolphin Mermaid

This drawing shows Kenediya with a very young dolphin.  As a Dolphin Mermaid, and because Kenediya is only 6 years old, she takes care of young dolphins.  She especially cares for young orphaned dolphins that were orphaned due to unethical fishing with gillnets that kill dolphins.

Kenediya is full of life and helps the orphaned dolphins to still find joy in life.  She has a trident that is like a magic wand - as if she were a Fairy.  In fact, Mermaids are technically a type of Fairy.  That trident is small because Kenediya is young and small, but don't be fooled.  Her trident is very powerful and can magically drive off sharks or other predators that might target an orphaned dolphin.

NOTE:  This drawing, in printable form, is found by clicking on the button labeled "Fantasy, Myths, and Circus.  Then scroll down to the bottom of the list of drawings to get to the printable version of this drawing.  Have fun coloring Kenediya the Dolphin Mermaid!

Pictures of Jesus to color

Welcome to my free coloring pages blog.

Today I am posting several coloring page drawings of Jesus.

I am planning to post several drawings so I will be writing just a little bit about each

scene from the mortal life and the post-mortal life of our Savior.

I am starting with the drawings below.

Jesus before calling His Apostles

Jesus called some fishermen to be His apostles. . . so this drawing shows Him wading in

the Sea of Galilee (also known as the Sea of Tiberius).  These Apostles like Peter and Andrew were

simple men who were near the bottom of the social ladder, yet they were certainly

pre-ordained in the pre-mortal life to be these special witnesses of Christ.

Jesus ordains one of His Apostles

Jesus ordained some of His followers to be Apostles.

Apostles were the leaders of the Church and had the Priesthood authority to lead,

to give blessings of healing, etc. etc.

Jesus praying at an Olive Press in Gethsemane

Jesus prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane where we believe he began to

pay the eternal price for the sins of every single member of Mankind... male and female.

He is seen here praying and using an olive press to lean on.

Resurrected Jesus outside of Jerusalem

Jesus was resurrected so that one day we will all be resurrected as well.

We will have perfect bodies without the defects and problems we have now.

I know that one eye in this drawing is slightly smaller.

I myself have a dropping eyelid. So I thought that maybe Jesus could have had

that type of eye.  He probably didn't but because he COULD have

I left the eyes the different sizes.  I suppose that in the resurrection I

will not have the droopy eyelid.  But then again maybe I will since a droopy

eyelid is part of how people recognize me.

NOTE: These four drawings can be found, in printable form, by clicking on the button labeled "Religious.  Then scroll down to the bottom of the list of drawings. I will be posting more drawings of Jesus tomorrow.  Have fun coloring.
