Earth Day coloring pages

Red Squirrel in Oak Tree
(North America)

Red Squirrel from a YouTube video about Banff National Park

Today is Earth Day!  So I was watching a documentary about Banff National Park in Alberta Canada and I saw a beautiful red squirrel.  I decided to draw it for Earth Day today!   Red squirrels have an enormous range.  They live throughout much of Canada, down into the Rocky Mountains of the USA, and in much of the Eastern United States.  They are a beautiful reddish-brown and I think that most have a gray or black spot on the tip of their tail. By the way, this kind of tree, an Oak tree, is not common or present at all in Banff so this squirrel is probably from the Eastern part of North America.

Here in Utah, where we live, the native oak trees are a type of mountain shrub that we call scrub oak.  Their official name is Gambel Oak or Quircus gambelii.  Our local squirrels eat the acorns.

I am posting some other drawings of animals that I have drawn in the past.  These animals are from all over the world.  I hope people will respect the Earth and the wonderful plants and animals that God has placed on it.  In fact, taking care of our planet and the beautiful life on it is part of our stewardship from God.

All drawings from today's post can be found by clicking on the Animals button and scrolling down.  In fact, you can click on either of two buttons . . . . . . . . . . .Animals . . . . . . All Printables.
