Rabbit and Bunny coloring pages for Easter

Happy Easter!

Welcome to my free coloring pages blog!

I drew two new bunny pictures today... since it is Easter.

Bunny with Easter Egg

(new drawing-done for small children)

I would add long eyelashes to this bunny's eyes if I was giving it to a little girl to color.

American Rabbits by a Pond

(new drawing)

Rabbits are small placental mammals from the Family: Leporidae.  Rabbits were once considered rodents but that is no longer the case now.  They are NOT rodents.  Rabbits have two extra incisor teeth that rodents lack.  They are in Order: Lagomorpha along with Pikas.  There are over 300 breeds of domestic rabbits.  The European Rabbit has been brought to every continent except Antarctica.

Here in North America, we have three native species of rabbits:  the White-Tailed Jackrabbit and the Eastern Cottontail.  Plus the Snowshoe Hare.  I will draw all of these species at a later date.  This drawing of the two American Rabbits by a Pond is a of a domesticated breed called the American Rabbit.  It is a breed that was bred in America but it is bred from the European Wild Rabbit.

NOTE:  Below are some older drawings of rabbits or bunnies.  All these drawings are available in printable form by clicking on the "Holidays" or "Animals" button.  You may need to scroll around to find the title of the drawing you want to print.
