Holloween 2021 coloring pages

 Happy Halloween!

Welcome to my free coloring pages blog!

This year's NEW drawing for Halloween is a witch...

...a Pretty Witch with her Cat Familiar.

Pretty Witch with Cat Familiar

This witch has a familiar.  A familiar is an animal that has a special magical connection to a witch or a wizard.  As this drawing shows, not all witches are evil.  Not all witches are ugly.  Not all witches are evil either.  THIS is Sandria who is a good witch.   Her cat is named Catastrophe because he is constantly getting into trouble.

NOTE:  This top drawing is the new drawing for Halloween this year.  This new drawing can be found, in printable form, by clicking on the button labeled "Holidays" and then scrolling down to the bottom of the Halloween section.    The below drawings are from previous Halloweens.  They can also be found, in printable form, by clicking on the "Holidays" button and then looking at the Halloween section.  There are actually a lot more Halloween drawings available to print and color.

Horse that is a Shire Gypsy cross named Paint or Piper coloring page

Welcome to my free coloring pages blog.

Today's drawing was done over two months ago at a ranch in Wyoming.

The horse is named Paint or Piper.

Horse that is a Shire Gypsy cross named Paint or Piper

Piper or Paint is a beautiful horse that lives on a ranch in Wyoming.

She is absolutely beautiful!

She is owned by my niece and her husband.

NOTE:  I have fallen behind in getting drawings posted that I did while we were homeless.  I have gotten sick and I am probably not in danger,  but I am definitely not well.  In any case, this is one of my favorite drawings of an animal.  This drawing can be found, in printable form, by clicking on the "Animals" button and scrolling to the bottom of the drop-down menu.

You are never alone in the boat of life. coloring page

Welcome to my free coloring pages blog.

Today's post is metaphorical.  It is meant to communicate that you are never alone

in the boat of life because Jesus is always with you if you ask Him to be there with you.

You are never alone in the boat of life.

We all face challenges in life.  I remember feeling, at one point, that my life was a leaky rowboat and whenever I asked God for a better boat... He gave me a bucket to bail out the boat I had.  But Jesus has been there for me IN the boat with me.  When I was too sick or tired to row He did the rowing.  This is all metaphorical, of course.

NOTE:  I have been sick so I apologize for not posting this backing of drawings that I have from our 1 1/2 months of homelessness.  We are now in our new home and things are much better.  I am still coping with some anxiety, but again, doing much better.  I feel like my Savior has been there for me and helped me through.  This drawing, in printable form, will be found by clicking on the button labeled "Religious."  Then look at the bottom of the "General Religious" section.

Egyptian Queens, Princesses, and Princes coloring pages

Welcome to my Free Coloring Pages Blog!

I have several drawings backlogged but I have been rather busy so I have not posted for a few days.

I will try to do better.

Today's new drawings were drawn at our granddaughter's request for her birthday party.

It was an Egyptian-themed birthday party.

It will take a while to post all these pictures.  I drew several.

Some of these below drawings are very much in a cartoon style.

I may have to finish posting these Egyptian drawings tomorrow.

For now, I'm still scanning drawings and posting them, but there are quite a few drawings.

Princess of Egypt with Cat

The royalty in ancient Egypt loved and revered their cats.  They even dressed their cats in gold and they let their cats eat off of their plates.  Cats were even supposed to be important in the afterlife as well.

Queen of Egypt with Jerboa and Poached Egg Daisies

The Jerboa is a type of rodent found in African and Asian deserts.  It looks a LOT like our local Kangaroo Rat that lives here in the western deserts of the United States of America and Canada.  They are also found in the deserts of Mexico.

The Poached Egg Daisy is a flower found in the Sahara Desert.  It actually LOOKS like a poached egg.

Prince of Egypt near a Pyramid

Prince of Egypt in Egyptian Desert

The sword that each prince has is a "khopesh."  It is an ancient sword that dates back to 2500 BC.  It is similar to the scythe-like axes that were used in the region.  The design is thought to be originally from the Canaanites.

Queen of Egypt with Poached Egg Daisies

The shepherd's crook represented that Pharoah and the Queen of Egypt were shepherds to the people and took care of them. This crook was called the heka.

Jesus prays in the Garden of Gethsemane coloring pages

Welcome to my free coloring pages blog.

Today's new drawing is of Jesus praying in the Garden of Gethsemane.

Jesus Prays in the Garden of Gethsemane

(new drawing)

Jesus suffered for our sins.  This suffering started in the Garden of Gethsemane.  It was actually an olive orchard.  Jesus walked in and fell on His face.  That is what the New Testament says.  He, Jesus, asked His Father in Heaven... who was also his actual physical father, to remove the cup from him if possible but that His Father's will be done.  Jesus was sore amazed and how terrible He felt.

Maybe He felt so terrible because he felt the weight of all our sins on him.  He had never sinned so he never had felt guilt.  Suddenly He had the guilt of all mankind upon him.  Jesus paid the eternal price for our sins so that IF we repent we can return to live with our Heavenly Parents one day.

Later Jesus was resurrected and that led to it becoming possible for everyone to be resurrected.  The amount of glory we receive and I suppose the level of glory or our resurrected body depends upon how we did on Earth.  Did we repent and try to do better.  Did we serve God by serving our fellowmen (and women).  Were we kind to others?  All those things matter.

I am so grateful for our Savior and the willingness of our Father in Heaven so sacrifice His son for us.  Think about it, Jesus was a god already.  He was God the Son.  He had the power, even on the cross, to come down from the cross and to smite His enemies with the word of His power.  But He did not do that.  He knew that suffering and dying for us was part of God's plan and He was willing to do His Father's will... no matter how hard.  And we can not even imagine how hard that was.  Jesus was not an unwilling victim of Roman cruelty.  He was a willing sacrifice for our sins.  The world does not understand that.  But Christians do understand.  Remember that Jesus was so powerful that under the direction of God the Father, He, Jesus, created this planet we call Earth. And it appears that he created millions of other earths or Eart-like planets s well.

Unicorns and Fairies can be Friends - coloring pages

Welcome to my free coloring pages blog.

Today's new drawing is of a Unicorn and his or her Fairy Friend.

Unicorn on a Cliff meets Fairy Friend

(new drawing today)

Unicorns and Fairies are both sentient (highly intelligent) creatures of Light.  Well, at least MOST of them are.  This new drawing is of a Unicorn and Fairy meeting up.  The sex of the Unicorn is up to you.  I drew subtle eyelashes and in this type of cartoonish drawing long eyelashes always indicate female.  But since these eyelashes are shorter you can decide for yourself if this is a male or female Unicorn.  The Fairy is drawn as a definite female or Diva Fairy.  Among the older drawings down below is one of a rare Dark Fairy with a Unicorn.  Again, most Fairies are Fairies of Light.

NOTE:  The new drawing is at the top of this post.  The other drawings are from previous posts.  The NEW drawing is found, in printable form, by clicking on the button labeled "Fantasy, Myths, and Circus" and scrolling down to the bottom of the drop-down menu.  The older drawings are from previous posts and are found, in printable form, further up the list. Notice that these Unicorn drawings are done if various styles.

Two Drawings of Jesus to - coloring pages

Jesus, during His ministry, was an itinerant preacher.  It appears that He was basically homeless. We were homeless, though not poor, for several weeks recently.  In a small way, we understand a bit what the homeless go through. . . although we stayed with family and in inexpensive motels and hotels.

These drawings were done while we were homeless.

Jesus Comes to Jerusalem

This next drawing is of Jesus outside Jerusalem after His resurrection.  He paid the eternal price for our sins and then He was resurrected.  So we can return to live with our Heavenly Parents if we repent of our sins.  His resurrection has made it possible for everyone to be resurrected one day.

New Sauropod Dinosaur from China Silutitan - coloring page

Hi agian, sorry about the dealy in new posts.  While we were homeless, waiting for our new home to be completed, I was not able to post because we had no access to a scanner.  We were staying with fanily or in hotels / motels.   We got into our new home a few weeks ago but we have been very busy unpacking and our printer - scanner was malfunctioing so I could not post anything.  But we finally got it working so  I'm back and today's new drawing is of a Salutitan that was discovered recently in China.  It was a large Sauropod dinosaur that was 70 feet long!  It may have had longer front legs like a Brachiosaurus, but it was NOT a Brachiosaur.

By the way, I have several drawings I have done over the past few weeks and I will be posting one or two each day until I am caught up on posts.  Again, sorry for the lack of new posts for so long.

New Sauropod Dinosaur from China Silutitan

Silutitan was a large long-necked dinosaur called a Sauropod.  It was found in China and its name refers to the Silk Road which is near where this large dinosaur was found.  It is thought to have been 65-70 feet long.  That is around 20+ meters!

With this type of size, a Silutitan could have reached up into the very tall cycad and other conifer trees to get leaves or needles to eat.  Another large Sauropod was also found in China.  It is called Hamititan.

The full name for this pictured dinosaur is Silutitan sinensis.  Like all Sauropods it probably swallowed rocks to help grind up its tough food of conifer leaves and needles. Of course pine needles or fir needles or spruce needles are all a type of leaf in a conifer tree.  In this new drawing the Silutitan is feeding on the leaves of a tall cycad tree.

NOTE:  This drawing, in printable form, is found by clicking on the "Paleontology" button and scrolling down to the bottom of the drop-down menu.  New drawings are always at the bottom of the correct list.

I'm Back!

Hello again to everyone out there!  We were waiting for our home to be finished and our lease on the rented home we were in ran out.  So we were homeless for over a month.  We are now in our new home that had been delayed due to supply chain problems due to COVID 19.  So I could not post for some time.  I will now post several drawings that I did while we were staying with family or staying at hotels and motels.  (I did NOT quit drawing.)

I do want to say that this was a tough time.  We were not destitute but it was awful to have no home.  I even experienced some severe depression and anxiety.  (Drawing helped me during anxiety attacks but I also had medication prescribed by my doctor.)

I have also been on an antidepressant.  This whole experience gave me new empathy for those who suffer from any type of mental illness.  It also has given me a chance to turn to the Lord more fully.  (I have never prayed so much or prayed harder than during these rough times.)  I am feeling better, so now that we have a home I hope to start to post again.  However, my printer/scanner is giving me grief so hopefully, I can get that worked out and begin to post again.

During this time I was in the hospital twice with heart and trachea problems.  It was pretty scary. I am grateful to the Lord for good medical care during these rough times.  When life gets hard we can either get angry at God and turn away from Him or we can turn TO Him for his help.  Either way, the rough times will come so I might as well turn TO God and get help dealing with the trials.

So, hopefully, I can get my printer/scanner working and begin to start posting the backlog of drawings I have done.  I will start with the religious drawings since this is General Conference weekend for those of us who are members of The Chruch of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
