Today's new drawing is a Goldendoodle puppy named Joy.

We met Joy and her family while walking around looking at the statues on the campus of Utah State University. Joy is a Goldendoodle and she is a rather large puppy. She was also very sweet and very friendly.
Goldendoodles are becoming a popular hybrid breed. They are generally hypoallergenic and that's helpful for people like me who are allergic to some breeds of dogs. Goldendoodles have the sweet temperament of a Golden Retriever and the energy of a poodle. Goldendoodles are very non-aggressive and have been used as Therapy Dogs.
Goldendoodles have been bred from large or Standard Poodles and a Golden Retriever. But they also have been bred from medium-sized Poodles and a Golden Retriever.... or bred from a miniature or Toy Poodle and a Golden Retriever. So because of this, the Goldendoodle comes in various sizes.
