Resurrection of Jesus coloring pages for Easter

 Happy Easter!

Welcome to my free coloring pages blog!

Today's Easter drawing is of the Resurrection of Jesus after 3 days in the tomb.

Resurrection of Jesus from the Tomb

(new drawing for Easter today)

Jesus is our Savior.  He is also MY Savior.  He died for our sins and made it possible for us to repent and then one day return pure and worthy to live again with our Heavenly Parents.  Jesus is the Son of God.  Now, we ALL are spirit children of our Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother, but Jesus is the literal Son of God in the flesh.  His mother was Mary and His Father was our Heavenly Father.  Joseph was Jesus' stepfather.  Still, Joseph was a great and worthy man.

When we sin... and we all sin... there is an eternal punishment that will keep us from living again with our Heavenly Parents.  Jesus paid this eternal price for our sins so that we can repent of our sins.  So we are very blessed that Jesus volunteered to be our Savior.  He volunteered before we all came to Earth.

Before we came to Earth we lived with our older brother Jesus and our Heavnly Parents in our pre-mortal life.  There was a great council in Heaven and Jesus volunteered to pay the price for our sins when we became mortal.

Jesus also taught us to be nice people.  He taught us to love and serve one another.  We all need to remember and follow those teachings and the world would be a better place.

Jesus' resurrection made it possible for us all to be resurrected with perfect immortal bodies. . . bodies without needing trach tubes... bodies without cancer... bodies without the challenges of mental or physical illnesses. (I have a tracheotomy tube and some mental illness,,, and my wife has treatable cancer but the chemotherapy side effects are a pain.) But as resurrected beings, we will have glorified and perfected bodies with none of the health challenges we deal with now!

The flowers in the drawing are a brilliant red flower that is found in Israel.  It is a symbol of the resurrection and it is a Lily.  More specifically it is an AmarLily.  There are other colors of this type of flower and they are also found in Africa.

NOTE:  This drawing, in printable form, is found by clicking on the "Religious" button at the top of the page.  Then scroll down to the "New Testament" part of the list of Religious drawings.  Below are other Religious drawings related to Easter that are also on the Religious printables list.
