Today's new drawings are part of my
Dinosaurs and Dragons series.
The drawings are of Wulong, a dinosaur from China...
and a drawing of a Chinese Dragon.
Wulong was NOT a Pterosaur. It was a small frying dinosaur. In fact, the name Wulong means "Dancing Dragon." It was a small flyer. It was a little shorter than a raven. It had a long tail and it was put in the same family of dinosaurs as Microraptor. Wulong had feathers. In essence, it was an early bird. Do you think it caught the worm?
Chinese Dragons are one of the most recognizable dragons in the world. Dragons have an important part in Chinese and many other East Asian cultures. Dragons are symbols of virility, power, strength, and good luck. Dragons are said to have power over typhoons, rainfall, typhoons, and floods. . . and power over water in general.
These drawings, in printable form, are found by clicking on the correct button. For the dinosaur click on the button labeled . . . . . . . . . . Paleontology. For the Dragon, click on the button labeled . . . . . . . . Fantasy, Myths, and Circus.
