Today's drawing is actually a re-do of Allison, the Weather Fairy. 

Allison the Very Impressive Weather Fairy

Allison is a local weather forecaster or meteorologist here in Utah.  She was educated at both Ole Miss University and Mississippi State.  My wife and I have a master's from Mississippi State in a similar major... Geoscience.  But Allison got her second B.S. degree from Mississippi State in Geoscience with an emphasis in Broadcast Meteorology.  (My wife and I had meteorology classes as part of our master's degree.)  

By the way, the distance learning program, at Mississippi State, in Geoscience is a fantastic program.  I felt like getting my master's fulfilled a life-long dream!  My wife felt the same way.  

Now, what you DON'T know about Allison is that she grew up as a Fairy.  She can transform to miniature or Fairy size, but she only does that when she is away from mortals.  She is very beautiful and very intelligent.  Those are traits of nearly all Fairies.  Fairies have advanced technology that they use to keep hidden from mortals.  However, SOME Fairies, like Allison, have chosen to come into the mortal world and live much of their lives among us.  Like all Fairies, Allison loves the outdoors and really likes living in Utah with all of our beautiful scenery.  

In case you are wondering about the wings and ears... Fairies can internalize their wings and they use a concealment or cloaking charm to hide their pointy ears from mortals.  Also, in this drawing Allison is Fairy size, not in her mortal size.  You know this because the butterfly that is approaching the flowers is a Western Pygmy Blue.  This is one of the smallest butterflies in the world.  It has a wingspan of between 12 and 20 mm.  The Western Pygmy Blue Butterfly is native to Western North America, where Allison lives.
