Gracia the Irish Art Fairy
Being part Irish myself, I want to share the legend of Irish Fairies. Tuath de Danann are said to be one of the first tribes to arrive in Ireland. They had magic and they were very secretive. They were a peaceful people... and they were the size of we mortals.
But then more warlike tribes arrived in Ireland. The Tuath de Danann LOVED Ireland and did not want to leave, so it is said that they used their magic to shrink themselves to Fairy size. Now, these Irish Fairies live underground much of the time. They have tiny tunnels that criss-cross the land and connect their Fairy villages.
Because they love the beauty of the land, Irish Fairies love to draw and paint. Some of them are even called "Art Fairies," like Gracia here. Some Irish Fairies have traveled to other places, like America. They continue to live as Fairies, but they can use their magic to go to mortal size when they choose to. Sometimes they will go to mortal size to paint.
In fact, Gracia lives in North America, USA. She is seen here painting a scene in the Rocky Mountains. Just because they now live in America, the transplanted Irish Fairies have not forgotten their original culture. For example, Gracie is wearing a traditional Irish dress.
