Dinosaur Planet: Little Das' Hunt - Reading and Worksheet Science Lesson

My response to the closure of schools and the situation that has made millions of parents home schoolers . . . is to post some of the readings (or articles) and worksheets from my 17 or so years of teaching Science.  This is the second assignment from the video called Dinosaur Planet.  It is called Little Das' Hunt.  By the way, teachers are welcome to use this too.  There are no fees to print and use these pages to teach kids.  The video is available online.

Little Das is a juvenile or young Daspetosaur.  Daspletosaurus was an early Tyrannosaur and probably an ancestor to Tyrannosaurus rex.   He tries to learn, but he messes up a lot.  His mother and sisters are trying to teach him how to hunt in the pack.

Topics covered include Volcanology, (that means volcanos), Taxonomy/Classification, some Chemistry and Genetics.

The states of matter part of the assignment is where I get the Chemistry.  The three states of matter are Solid, Liquid, and Gas states.

The above reading and worksheets can be found in printable form by clicking on the top button labeled "Science Readings and Worksheets."  Below are a few drawings of animals that are mentioned in the video.  Some are just similar animals.  They are free coloring pages and can be found by clicking on the Paleontology button up at the top of the page.
Then scroll down to spot the title of the drawing that you want to print.
