Today's new drawing is of a Frog Fairy named Ranaiya.
Ranaiya the Frog Fairy
Frog Fairies have an affinity for frogs, toads, and salamanders. This type of Fairy is a type of River or Pond or Lake Fairy. They love to hang out on lily pads with frogs and other small amphibians. Frog Fairies have lacewings, like many insects found near bodies of water... like lacewing flies, dragonflies, etc.
The frog is a common frog. It is Ranaiya's friend. The Frog Fairy is named Ranaiya. Her name is based on the Latin word "rana" which means "frog." In this drawing, Ranaiya is choosing to hang out in her Modified Fairy Size. This makes her about 12 inches or about 30.5 cm. tall. She normally, in Fairy Size, would be about 5 inches tall.
Common Frogs are about 3-4 inches in body length. They are native to Europe and Great Britain. They live from Great Britain to Russia. They are also known by the names Grass Frog and Russet Frog.
One more thing about Frog Fairies. They are known as being one of the most beautiful of all Fairies.
