Giganotosaurus at an Overlook
(new drawing)
Giganotosaurus was a large Theropod dinosaur from South America. It lived and ruled 30 million years BEFORE T. rex ruled in North America. Estimates on its size vary but some suggest it was 43 feet long (13.2 meters) and weighed up to 15 tons. One jaw fragment was found that was 8% larger than previous finds so that is where the 43 feet length comes from.
NOTE: This drawing, in printable form, along with the other older drawings seen down below, are found by clicking on the button labeled "Paleontology." The new drawing will be at the bottom of the drop-down menu in the Mesozoic portion of the list. These drawings in the drop-down menu list are the printable pages. Below are drawings from previous posts. All are of Giganotosaurus.

Giganotosaurus bones were found near Argentinosaurus bones
so Giganotosuarus probably preyed on this huge Sauropod.
