Futeristic Space Shuttle and Spaceplane coloring pages

Welcome to my free coloring pages blog.

Today we have two new drawings.

They are drawings of space ships going to the moons of other planets.

Futuristic Space Shuttle visits Mimas the Death Star-like Moon of Saturn

My four-year-old grandson asked me to draw a space shuttle.  I drew these two drawings.  The moon seen in this first drawing is a moon of Saturn.  It kind of looks like the Death Star from Star Wars.  My grandson wanted a comet and an asteroid in the drawing too.  Can you find them?  By the way, this is a drawing of a space shuttle from the future, not the ones that NASA retired a few years ago.

Futuristic Spaceplane visits Ganymede the largest Moon of Jupiter

This drawing is of a spaceplane visiting the moon of Jupiter called Ganymede.  It is a huge moon.  It is the biggest moon in the solar system and the biggest thing after the official planets.  It has possibly more water than all of the Earth's oceans.  Ganymede also is the only moon with a magnetic field - which means it is big enough to have a liquid metal core that is spinning and creating the magnetic field.  Some books have been written about settling this moon.  But we now know it is mostly covered in frozen ocean.  My favorite story or Sci Fi story about Ganymede is called Farmer In The Sky by Robert Heinlein.

The other three Galilean moons are in this drawing as well.  There are four moons discovered by Galileo.

These drawings, in printable form, are found by clicking on the button labeled: "Fantasy, Myths, and Circus."  Then scroll down to the bottom of the drop-down menu of titles.  New drawings are always at the bottom of the correct list.
