Norwegian Grass Fairy named Rachel coloring page (English version)

This is a Free Coloring Pages Blog.

Today's new drawing is a Norwegian Grass Fairy.

Norwegian Grass Fairy

There are several species of scented grass in Norway.  There are some grasses in Norway that are used as turf roofs.  Norwegian Grass Fairies are lovers of grass and they take care of grass out in the field and the grass on mortal roofs.

Of course, Norwegian Grass Fairies, like Rachel here,  use grass on their own roofs, but they conceal their small houses with a concealment charm so we mortals rarely see a Norwegian Fairy house.

There are some scented grass used in storing clothes and for perfume.  The use of scented grass is from the Northern Norwegian culture and region.  Using scented grasses is a part of their traditions in Northern Norway.  Some scented grasses are used in traditional folk medicine.  The strong-smelling ingredient in scent grass that makes the sweet scent is called coumarin.

NOTE:  This drawing is partially done from an actress of Norwegian descent.  Her name is Rachel, so that is the name for this Grass Fairy.  The actress was on a Hallmark Channel movie I saw a couple of days ago.  This drawing, in printable form, can be found by clicking on the "Fantasy, Myths, and Circus" button at the top of the page.  Then scroll down to the bottom of the list of drawings for this new drawing.
