Welcome to my free coloring pages blog!
Today's new drawing is a Mermaid Princess.
Royal Mermaid Princess named Ellinor
Ellinor is a Mermaid Princess. Her Trident Crown indicates that. She is a compassionate Mermaid. She is known for her kindness throughout the North Sea. She lives with her family off the coast of Denmark. Her father is the Sea King.
Interesting enough, Ellinor is a magnet to many sea creatures, especially invertebrates. They come to play and visit with her. Most Merpeople can communicate with vertebrate life in the ocean, but Ellinor can also communicate with invertebrates and that is a rare gift.
This drawing includes several invertebrates including a baby Giant Squid, a Common Octopus, a crab, and a Sea Worm. There is also a Brain Coral. The fish you see are not invertebrates. They are vertebrates and they are a shark, a Parrotfish, and a small reef fish.. Sharks are cartilaginous fish so their bones are made of cartilage. The Parrotfish and reef fish are true bony fish.
Notice that some of the Mermaids have a navel visible. This is because Merpeople are born live. They are not hatched from jelly-like eggs as fish are.
NOTE: This new drawing is available in printable form by clicking on the button labeled "Fantasy, Myths, and Circus." Then scroll down to the bottom of the drop-down menu to see this title. Click on the title to see the drawing. Then you can print it. Below are some older drawings of Mermaids.
By the way, this Mermaid was inspired in part by the "Barbie Mermaid" that our granddaughter got for Christmas. Have fun coloring!
