Welcome to my blog!
Today I am posting two new drawings that are seemingly unrelated...
but read on to see the connection.
Lot Smith
(new drawing)
Lot Smith was an early member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was a pioneer and at the age of just 16 years of age, he joined the Mormon Batallion and marched a very long way. He later became a lawman in the Utah Territory.
Lot Smith was famous for his gathering of wild mustangs. So I am including a new drawing of a wild mustang horse. I will also be adding other older drawings of mustang horses. The model for this drawing is the great-great-great-grandson of Lot Smith. He does bear a resemblance to his ancestry.
The below new Mustang drawing is actually based on a wall hanging I saw at a ranch in Wyoming. The ranch is a horse ranch and is owned by my niece and her husband.
Paint Mustang in the West
(new drawing)
Part of the horse wall hanging that I used to draw the outline of the above mustang.
NOTE: These drawings are found, in printable form, in different places. The drawing of Lot Smith is found by clicking on the button labeled "People & Portraits." Since Lot Smith was a pioneer his drawing is also found under the "Holidays" button in the "Pioneer Day" section. The Mustang horse picture is found by clicking on the "Animals" button. All new drawings are found at the bottom of the correct list.
