Desert Fairy

Desert Fairy
I imagined a desert fairy in the Mojave Desert.  She is dressed in Navajo cloth. She also has dark hair.  I would think that if fairies were or are real they would be of many different races.  After all, the World is populated with many different races.  This is a close up of the fairy...in other words, when you look at the drawing think of her in the close foreground, in front of everything else.

Also, many Native American Tribes have legends of "Little People" ...this includes the Crow, Shoshone, Choctaw, Cherokee, and Iroquois People. (I have an Iroquois ancestor.)  I don't know if  those legends say the Little People have wings like fairies.  Some legends say that the little people live in caves or in the forest.  The Little people are sometimes tricksters and other times they help the big people.   One legend says that they rescue children who are in trouble.

Since there are Saguaro Cacti in the drawing it must be in Arizona.  Arizona is pretty much the only place you find Saguaro Cacti . . .or cactus.  The other plants include the fairly newly discovered Barrel Cactus, Prickly Pear Cactus, Smoke-tree, Ephedra (Mormon tea), Agave and Yucca.  Agave tends to grow in Mexico.
