McKennia the Mermaid and McKennia transformed into Mortal Form coloring pages

Today's new drawing is of the Mermaid I drew a couple of weeks ago.

Her name is McKennia... but she is drawn here transformed into her Mortal form.

McKennia the Mermaid transformed into Mortal Form

New Drawing

McKennia, like all Mermaids, can use her Mermaid Magic to transform into Mortal Form.  Here we see her wading in the surf with the California Gull she was talking to in the last drawing of her.  The California Gull is doing some wave riding in the ocean surf.  Remember that McKennia is a Seagull Mermaid.

In this drawing, McKennia is wading in the Pacific Ocean surf after transforming into her mortal form.  She actually lives much of her life among mortals.  She works in Ophthalmology because as a Mermaid she has excellent eyesight.  In fact, Mermaids have way better vision than mortals.  Mermaids need to be able to see deep in the ocean where there is little light penetrating.  McKennia feels bad for mortals who have such inferior vision compared to Merpeople.  In fact, Merpeople, when on the land in mortal state, can see fine on even the darkest night.

In this drawing, the feet are slightly distorted and less visible because of the bending of light underwater.  Can you spot the single Frigate Bird in this drawing?  There are two Frigate Birds in the drawing of McKenna in Mermaid form.  In today's drawing, we can not see McKennia's pointed ears - but it doesn't matter because the transformation to mortal form makes her ears like a mortal.  In the first drawing, down a while back, you can see her pointed ears.  Many Mermaids do have pointed ears... in their Mermaid state.

The ship in the background is modeled after Allure of the Seas, the biggest cruise ship in the world. It is a 12,000-ton ship.  It is 213 feet tall above the waterline.  This enormous cruise ship is 1181 feet long and 154 feet wide.  By the way, I am not getting paid to talk about this, but we HAVE been on two cruises with Royal Caribbean Cruise Line... which operates this ship.  We did NOT cruise on this ship but we want to someday.  It is an Oasis Class ship.

NOTE:  This drawing, in printable form, can be found by clicking on the button labeled "Fantasy, Myths, and Circus."  Then scroll down to the bottom of the drop-down menu.  The first drawing of McKennia in her Mermaid form is just a little above this drawing on the list.  To remind you of the original drawing of McKennia... in Mermaid Form, I am posting it below.  Have fun coloring!
