This is my free coloring pages blog...
where I draw the pictures.
Today I am posting 3 new Fairy drawings. I have a backlog of Fairy drawings.
In fact, I will be posting a few more Fairy drawings in a day or two.
There are no fees or ads on this blog - just coloring pages to draw.
Firefly Fairies live wherever there are fireflies. There are 165 species of fireflies in North America, but there are 2200 species in the world. Some of the species live in the mountains. There are 19 species of fireflies that live in the Appalachian Mountains of Eastern USA. Several species of fireflies live in the Rocky Mountain region as well. Here in Utah, where I live, there are 6 species of fireflies. Of the six species in Utah, only two of them flash. The fireflies that can flash all have bioluminescence.
This kind Young Mountain Fairy is named Luciole. Her name even means "firefly" in French. She is very gifted at protecting the habitat of the fireflies. She focuses on mountain fireflies so she is a Mountain Firefly Fairy. She is only about 11 or 12 years old. She is using her magic wand to call all lost fireflies in this mountainous area to her, so she can bring them to the local sparkle of fireflies. (A group of fireflies is called a sparkle or light posse.)
NOTE: To get to these drawings, in printable form, just click on the button labeled "Fantasy, Myths, and Circus." Then scroll down to the bottom of the drop-down menu. There are a LOT of drawings. But the newer drawings are at the bottom of the list.
Jument the Unicorn Mare Fairy
Jument (pronounced joo-man) means mare in French. This Fairy, named Jument, is a type of Unicorn Fairy that focuses on helping out female Unicorns. Jument is seen here bringing a large apple to a Unicorn Mare. We see Jument here in her mortal-sized form. All Fairies can transform to mortal size or be in their 5-inch tall or so Fairy size... or they can transform to any size in between.
Flower Fairies - Dianthus the Carnation Fairy
Dianthus is one of the Flower Fairies. She focuses on Carnations. I should add that carnations can come in many different colors. There are some shades of yellow, orange, green, and red that were made via selective breeding.
You can also change the color of a white carnation by cutting the stem at an angle and adding food coloring or dye to the water in a vase. Then put the carnation in the colored water. Within hours you will see the petals begin to change color.
