The prophet President Russell M. Nelson and the Latter-day
Apostles are encouraging us to make the Easter celebration
a long celebration, not just Easter Sunday. They saw this because
The Atonement and subsequent Resurrection of our Lord
Jesus Christ is the most important event in the history of the world.
So that is my excuse for posting these Easter drawings so late on Easter Day.
Tonight I am posting a new picture of Jesus after His resurrection
and a drawing of an Easter Bunny.
Jesus comforts Mary after His Resurrection
Mary had come to the tomb to anoint Jesus' body and she found an empty tomb. She was crying and probably had blurry vision. So she mistook Jesus for the Gardener. Of course, He was the resurrected Lord and Savior. Mary Magdalene was the first person that saw Him after His resurrection.
Easter Bunny on a Break
This is an Easter Bunny on a special mission to deliver a special egg. He has traveled far, and he is taking a break before he completes his journey. Sometimes Easter Bunnies get assigned special tasks. These are tasks that usually involve taking a special egg to a deserving child in an isolated location.
For more on this, read the book, "The Country Bunny and the Little Gold Shoes." It tells of how there are 5 Easter Bunnies. Below are some drawings that I did based on that excellent story. They were posted over a year ago.
Country Bunny Hopping
NOTE: There are other Country Bunny drawings. To get to the printable pictures, just click on the "Holidays" button and scroll down to the titles that say "Country Bunny." You can get to the printable versions of the two new drawings this way as well, but the new drawings will be at the bottom of the list of Easter drawings. Below is a photo of the book "The Country Bunny and the Little Gold Shoes."
