Welcome to my blog... or welcome back.
Today's new coloring page is of another NGAD Fighter-Attack Aircraft.
NGAD Fighter with no Verticle Stabilizers
(This new drawing is a depiction of a possible 5th generation fighter jet.)
This top drawing is another new drawing of a possible concept for a 5th Generation NGAD Fighter-Attack aircraft. You will notice that it does not have what we might call tail fins or more correctly verticle stabilizers. These are not there in this aircraft because it has directional jets so it can get more stability in flight without the verticle stabilizers. So, along with the ailerons on the wings, the aircraft will also be able to turn without even one verticle stabilizer. There IS talk of the Next Generation Air Dominance fighter and attack aircraft. having no verticle stabilizers. This would give the aircraft an even smaller radar signature. Of course, the jet WILL still have the horizontal stabilizers on the tail.
Stealth aircraft that carry their munitions internally have a smaller radar signature but they can not carry as much weight internally as they could on externally mounted bombs and missiles. So aircraft like the F/A-15EX Eagle II can carry far more weapons.
NOTE: This new drawing, in printable form, is found by clicking on the button labeled "Vehicles and Military Vehicles." Then scroll down to the bottom of the list. The drawings below this paragraph are of other stealth aircraft from previous posts.
