Welcome to my free coloring pages blog!
Today's new drawing is of a Mermaid with a Black-headed Gull.
Mermaid with Black-headed Gull
Mermaids are often friendly with wildlife. The marine birds do not have the intelligence of a human or the intelligence of Merpeople. However, Mermaids and Mermen often know multiple languages and can communicate with many forms of wildlife. Sharks rarely attack Merpeople because the Merpeople can communicate with the sharks.
So in this drawing, we see a Mermaid with a Black-headed Gull. The Mermaid is somewhat unique because she prefers to wear her hair short. Most Mermaids prefer to wear their hair in a longer style. This Mermaid, by the name of Heatheriah, is wearing a top made of kelp leaves. Her friend, a Black-headed Gull is resting on a small sea stack. Heatheriah is a bit of a maverick because of preferring a shorter hairstyle. But she is more than her appearance... as we all are. She is a protector of the ocean and she is particularly protective of coral reefs.
Black-headed Gulls are a smaller type of seagull. They are found in Asia and Europe, however, they also visit and live along the Atlantic coast of North America, in both Southern Canada and from Maine to North Carolina in the USA.
Can you spot the following animals in this drawing? Parrot Fish, squid, brain coral, shark, sea anemone, clownfish, crab, Black-headed Gull, and lobster.
