Fairies

Fairy kneeling by a River
(This is a new drawing so located on the bottom of the correct lists.
Also, the older drawings below are further up the lists.
These drawings are found in printable form by clicking on
the buttons up top labeled Fantasy Myths and Circus  or  All Printables.)

Fairies are an amazing subspecies of humans or mortals. . . as they call us.  They have a lot of powerful magic, but in reality that magic is just advanced technology that we mortals do not yet have.  If you think about it, to a primitive culture our technology (like a computer, a cell phone, or a TV etc.) ...would look like magic.  The above fairy is obviously the size of a human or mortal.  The fairy technology allows them to do grow to our size when there is a need.  This increase in size magnifies their "magic" or technology. . . if you will.  This above fairy has a swallowtail butterfly style of wings.  The fairies are classified as follows:  Homo sapiens fata.
Not all fairies are like the one just below.  Yes, there are some what has been called Type A body fairies.  They are quite thinly built.  But the above fairy is clearly more curvy.  In the Fairy culture they accept and celebrate the beauty of all body types.  Let this be a lesson to you.  Maybe some mortal cultures could take a clue from the fairies.  Beauty comes in many forms.  In fact, there are fairies in many different mortal countries and on every continent.

Fairy with a Praying Mantis
(This is another new drawing.  The rest of the drawings on this post are from previous posts.)

Fairies have the ability to communicate with animals in a way far beyond what we mortals can do.  In fact, fairies are capable of sensing good auras in animals and people.  The above fairy is talking with a praying mantis.  Did you know that they LOOK like they are praying so the correct spelling for the above insect really is PRAYING mantis.  NOT preying mantis. . . . even though these insects prey on other insects.

Some of the older fairy drawings are below.  There are some done stylized and others drawn more realistically.
