Bruhathkayosaurusn from India - Possibly the Biggest Dinosaur Ever! coloring page

Bruhathkayosaurus. It may have been the

BIGGEST dinosaur EVER!

Bruhathkayosaurus was a gigantic animal. It was a Sauropod or long-necked dinosaur. It was also a Titanosaur. Titanosaurs include Argentinosaurus and Patagotitan. ONE Of these three dinosaurs was the biggest land animal ever to live. Bruhathkayosaurus lived in what is now India. It was possibly up to 150 feet or 46 meters long. It may have weighed up to 170 tons. Some older estimates put it at 240 tons. In comparison, a blue whale weighs up to 220 tons. 

We may never know because the original fossils were destroyed by a typhoon. The bones were in soft sandstone, and the flooding caused them to disintegrate into sand.  We only have some poor photographs and paleontologist drawings. Personally, I hope more fossils are found so we can clear up this mystery. Many paleontologists will not recognize this species because no hard evidence survived the typhoon and flooding. 

The name Bruhathkayosaurus means "huge-bodied lizard." The name comes from Sanskrit and Latin. Sanskrit is an ancient base language in India. It is kind of like Latin being the base language for several European languages. 

The Cretaceous Pterosaurs you see are 2 Pteranodons and a Quetzalcoatlus. The raptor in the foreground is not named, but several raptor dinosaur fragments have been found in India.
