Today being the Fourth of July
it is Independence Day
in the USA…
so I drew George Washington in a simple portrait with no background.
Picture will be posted in black-and-white printable form when I get back from my family reunion & recover from surgery. I am having trouble posting the coloring page with my smartphone.

George Washington was the commander of the Continental Army. He never quit, and his persistence helped win the colonies their freedom. He was also the first President of the United States. He refused to run for a third term and was a great example of the peaceful transition of power.
