This is my free coloring pages blog.
There are over 3000 drawings or coloring pages here.
I drew all but a few that were drawn by a grandniece and grandnephew.
Today's new drawing is of King Benjamin.
King Benjamin teaching from His Tower
King Benjamin was a great king in Ancient America. When he was getting older, he had a tower built so that he could teach his people. He first announced his successor, his son Mosiah. Then King Benjamin taught his people about Jesus and how Jesus would have us treat each other.
King Benjamin especially talked about how we should treat the poor. We should clothe them, feed them, and give them shelter. If we say in our hearts, "They brought this on themselves, so they deserve their bad situation," then WE are under condemnation.
Jesus also taught that same doctrine. We are supposed to care for and administer to the poor, sick, imprisoned, and the afflicted, not abandon them.
King Benjamin had called his people together to give them a final message. They came in families with tents, and each family had their own tent so they could hear him speaking, and presumably the family could stay out of the sun. You can read about King Benjamin in The Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Christ. Look in the first chapters of the book of Mosiah.
NOTE: This drawing, in printable form, is found by clicking on the button labeled "Religious." Then scroll down to the bottom of the "Restoration" section of the lists. Below is an older drawing of King Benjamin. Here he is on a stone tower. Have fun coloring these drawings!
