Today's free drawings are of Allosaurus jimmadseni.
Juvenile Allosaurus jimmadseni
Allosaurus jimmadseni was a large Theropod predator of the Jurassic Period. Allosaurus fragilis grew up to 40 feet long, or 12 meters long, and weighed up to 4 tons. It was one of the apex predators of the age. Allosaurus jimmadseni was a different species from the more well-known Allosaurus fragilis. Allosaurus jimmadseni lived millions of years before Allosaurus fragilis. Allosaurus jimmadseni was able to grow up to 33feet long or 10 meters long. It could weigh up to 2.5 tons or 2300 kg.
Allosaurus jimmadseni had a crest above and in front of each eye. It had a shorter crest on its snout as well. It most probably was the ancestor of the later Allosaurs, like Allosaurus fragilis.
Allosaurus fragilis Mother and Chick at an Overlook
In this drawing we see a mother Allosaurus fragilis with her chick at a valley overlook. Remember that an adult Allosaurus fragilis could grow to be 40 feet long. Allosaurus fragilis lived later than its smaller probable ancestor, Allosaurus jimmadseni.
