Waterfowl coloring pages

Today's new coloring page drawings for you to print and color are all of waterfowl.

Waterfowl are birds that live near water.  They have webbed feet and can swim.

Juvenile Khaki Campbell & Cayuga Ducks

Photo of Juvenile Ducks from Our Backyard

The drawing above is based on this photo.  Obviously, I drew a different background.

Both these breeds of duck are domesticated.  The Cayuga Duck is an American breed that is very beautiful.  As adults, they get iridescent feathers, including green neck and head feathers.

The Khaki Campbell Duck is a British breed. It is known for high egg production.  The females can lay up to 300 eggs annually.  They have khaki plumage - like British Army uniforms.

You might want to base your coloring on the photo.  But I need to remind you that these are sub-adult juveniles.  They are just getting their adult plumage, so only a hint of the green is seen on the Cayugas.

Wood Duck Family

Wood ducks are colorful ducks with a crest.  They are native to many parts of North America.

Canadian Goose on River

Canadian Geese are known for their long migration; however, often a flock will decide to stay somewhere year-round.  I have seen this firsthand.

Swan on a Pond

This is a a rather simple drawing of a swan.  To me, swans are the most beautiful birds on Earth.  There are actually six species of swans on Earth.  One species is black and one has a black neck. So this would be one of the white species.  With its dark beak, this is probably a Trumpeter Swan.

NOTE:  These drawings can be found in printable form by clicking on the button labeled "Birds."  Then scroll down to the bottom or near the bottom of the list of bird drawings. Have fun coloring these waterfowl.

2 Old Testament and 2 New Testament coloring pages

Sorry, I have not posted in a while.  Today I am posting several pictures I drew...

starting with these four Bible drawings that I did recently.

This is my free coloring pages blog.

Jesus wading in the Sea of Galilee

Yes, Jesus walked on water.  But he most certainly waded and even swam in the Sea of Galilee many times during his life... especially during His ministry that was for much of the time near the Sea of Galilee.

Jesus comforts the Woman caught in Adultery

The local religious leaders wanted to catch Jesus in a legal trap.  Only the Romans had the right to execute, but the Jewish leaders brought a woman to Jesus.  The woman had been caught committing adultery.  (This begs the question - "Where was the man who was committing adultery?")  The Jewish religious leaders wanted to trick Jesus because the Law of Moses said the woman should be stoned.  Jesus squatted down and wrote in the dust.  Then He stood and said, basically, "He who has no sin, let him cast the first stone at her."  This is worded slightly differently in the different Bible translations.

Then, beginning from the eldest to the youngest, the men all dropped their stones and withdrew with guilty consciences.  This is a great solution to the problem.  Then Jesus asked the woman where her accusers were.  After she said that there were no accusers to condemn her, Jesus told her that He did not condemn her either.  He then told her to go her way and sin no more.  That is one of my favorite stories of the Bible.

About the drawing:  The woman's hair looks to be a mess.  That makes perfect sense.  She had been in bed with someone who was not her husband and had been drug out of the house.  Then she was drug to all the way to the temple by a mob.  So she would not have looked her best by any means.  It was probably a violation of the Law of Moses for her to be IN the temple since she was an adulteress.  This is showing more of the hypocrisy of the religious leaders who claimed to always follow the Law of Moses.  This was hypocrisy because they were willing to violate the law in order to try and entrap Jesus.  Since only the Romans were allowed to do capital punishment, the Jewish leaders thought that they could trip up Jesus.  If Jesus had said to stone the woman, the religious leaders could have said he was violating Roman Law.  If Jesus said to release her, then Jesus was violating the Law of Moses.  Jesus' solution was very kind and very clever.

Noah sends out a Raven

Noah sent out a dove.  But he sent out a raven first.  The raven just flew to and fro everywhere and did not return.  So Noah sent out a dove.  The first time the dove could find no where to roost, and it came back.  The second time Noah sent out the dove, the dove returned with an olive branch. (a small one, no doubt)  This told Noah that the waters had receded from off the face of the Earth.  By the way, can you spot the window where Noah is?

Daughter of Pharaoh rescues Baby Moses

Bithiah was the daughter of Pharaoh.  She found baby Moses floating in the makeshift basket boat... floating in the Nile River.  She saved him and went on to raise him.  So Moses had the best education possible to receive at the time.  Bithiah's father had actually ordered the death of all baby Israelite children.  But Bithiah saved Moses, and he went on to lead the Children of Israel from bondage.

Easter 2025 coloring pages

The prophet President Russell M. Nelson and the Latter-day

Apostles are encouraging us to make the Easter celebration

a long celebration, not just Easter Sunday.  They saw this because

The Atonement and subsequent Resurrection of our Lord

Jesus Christ is the most important event in the history of the world.

So that is my excuse for posting these Easter drawings so late on Easter Day.

Tonight I am posting a new picture of Jesus after His resurrection

and a drawing of an Easter Bunny.

Jesus comforts Mary after His Resurrection

Mary had come to the tomb to anoint Jesus' body and she found an empty tomb.  She was crying and probably had blurry vision.  So she mistook Jesus for the Gardener.  Of course, He was the resurrected Lord and Savior.  Mary Magdalene was the first person that saw Him after His resurrection.

Easter Bunny on a Break

This is an Easter Bunny on a special mission to deliver a special egg.  He has traveled far, and he is taking a break before he completes his journey.  Sometimes Easter Bunnies get assigned special tasks.  These are tasks that usually involve taking a special egg to a deserving child in an isolated location.

For more on this, read the book, "The Country Bunny and the Little Gold Shoes."  It tells of how there are 5 Easter Bunnies.   Below are some drawings that I did based on that excellent story.  They were posted over a year ago.

Country Bunny Little Girl Bunny

Country Bunny Hopping

NOTE: There are other Country Bunny drawings.  To get to the printable pictures, just click on the "Holidays" button and scroll down to the titles that say "Country Bunny."  You can get to the printable versions of the two new drawings this way as well, but the new drawings will be at the bottom of the list of Easter drawings.  Below is a photo of the book "The Country Bunny and the Little Gold Shoes."

Fairy coloring pages

You have found my free coloring pages blog.

Today's new drawings for you to print are of

a Potato Fairy and a Tropical Fairy.

Potato Fairy

Yes, there ARE Potato Fairies.  They guard and care for the potato fields.  They are known to start loving potatoes quite young.  This young Potato Fairy is named Papaia.  She is also known to put charms on the mortal farmers who are working at planting, watering, and harvesting the potatoes.  These charms are positive charms that cool off farmers in the summer and warm them up on cool days.  So, Potato Fairies are kind to farmers and love them as well.  It has not been unheard of for a Potato Fairy to marry a farmer.  Of course, the Potato Fairy has to transform to mortal size and magically internalize her wings.  I should add that there are also male Potato Fairies.

Tropical Fairy on Monstera deliciosa Leaf

Monstera deliciosa is a tropical plant with large, deeply lobed leaves. It is native to Mexico and Central America.  It is actually toxic to pets and people, and yet it is a common house plant.  Its large, deeply green leaves are quite beautiful.

This drawing shows a female Tropical Fairy resting on the leaf.  Fairies are actually impervious to plant poisons so they have no fear of the leaf's toxins. In fact, Fairies are impervious to any toxins found in nature.  They can even ride poison dart frogs.

This drawing is a kind of portrait of Tropica.  That is the name of the Fairy.  Because it is a portrait, there is no background to the drawing.

Potato Fairy with Farmer

I mentioned that there were also male Potato Fairies.  Here is one of them.  He is also a young Fairy.  He is showing a Yukon Gold potato to his farmer friend. His name is Terre.  The farmer is named Fred.   And to all the farmers out there: THIS is what I looked like when I was farming.  So don’t be offended if in this picture you don’t see yourself (metaphorically speaking).

NOTE: I have not yet posted these three drawings in the printable section.  I will try to do that tomorrow.

More Mesozoic Life coloring pages

This is my free coloring pages blog.

There are over 3000 drawings that I have done for you to print and color.

Today's new drawing is of an Apatosaurus.

Apatosaurs at a Lookout

Apatosaurus was a large Sauropod of the Jurassic Period of the Mesozoic Era. It could grow up to 75 feet or 23 meters long and weighed up to 22 tons.  I would think that this drawing is of a juvenile or sub-adult Apatosaurus.  They were part of the Sauropod group of herbivorous dinosaurs.  They had tree-trunk-like legs and long necks with long tails.  They were LAND animals, not swamp dwellers, as originally thought.

Plesiosaur and Ichthyosaur

The more well-known Plesiosaur are the long-necked ones like the one seen here. Plesiosaurs lived in the Jurassic Period and on into the Cretaceous Period.   Some Plesiosaurs were up to 50 feet or 15 meters long.

The dolphin-shaped marine reptile is an Ichthyosuar. Some rather early Ichthyosaurs were absolutely huge, and so the gigantic ones lived in the Triassic Period - the first period of the Mesozoic Era.  They were up to 70 feet long. These marine reptiles were NOT dinosaurs.  They were marine reptiles.

Tylosaurus the Mosasaur

Tylosaurus was a large 50 feet or 15 meter long Mosasaur.  It lived in the Cretaceous Period. It was once thought that they had a long, flat eel-like tail.  Now we know that at least some of them had a tail fluke.

Pteranodons near a Volcanic Island

Pteranodon was a large flying reptile.  It was not a dinosaur.  It had a wingspan of 18 feet.  It had no teeth yet it ate fish.  In fact, the name "Pteranodon" means winged without teeth.

NOTE:  There are many more dinosaur and other Mesozoic life drawings that can be printed by clicking on the button labeled "Paleontology."  Then scroll down to the bottom of the Mesozoic Life section of the page. These four new drawings will be at or near the bottom of the list of drawing titles IF you are accessing this site in April of 2025.  Have fun coloring these Mesozoic animals.  Again, remember there are hundreds more you can print and color.

Jesus Returns to Earth in Clouds of Glory coloring page

You have found my free coloring pages blog.

Today's new drawing is of the return to Earth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

This weekend is the General Conference for

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

This drawing and many more found in the Religious section

of this blog could be printed for kids (and adults) to color while

they are watching conference.

Of course is this is not your

church, you are certainly still welcome to print any

of these pages for kids or adults to color.

Jesus Returns to Earth in Clouds of Glory

Jesus was executed by the Romans. Yet He was resurrected after three days in the tomb.  Then He ministered for (I think) 60 days among His followers on Earth.  He also visited His people in the New World, the Americas.  In fact, He visited people in many parts of the Earth.  But He ascended to Heaven with the promise that He would return.

When He returns, all wickedness will end.  The righteous will rise to meet Him.  There will be the resurrection of the just - who had been in the Spirit World (Paradise).  Then, for 1000 years, Jesus will reign on  Earth in peace.  Afterwards, the wicked will be resurrected, and a final judgment will determine which Kingdom of Glory the resurrected will live in.  The wicked had to be waiting out the millennium in Spirit Prison.  That is sometimes called Hell.

After the 1000 years of peace, everyone else will be resurrected.  This means their spirit will be reunited with their body... only their resurrected body will be immortal and free of all disease or defects.  Then, in a final judgment, everyone is assigned to one of the Kingdoms of Glory.

There are three Kingdoms of Glory:  The Telestial Kingdom for those who were wicked on Earth and had to repent of major sins in Spirit Prison.  Then, good people who were misled on Earth go to the Terrestrial Kingdom.  Those who have repented of their sins and had the ordinances of Salvation are those who receive exaltation in the Celestial Kingdom.  Those ordinances include baptism, gift of the Holy Ghost, Temple endowment, and sealing to spouse & Family.  Of course, these people who made it to the Celestial Kingdom still had to repent of their sins.  Everyone sins.  But they chose to repent and do better, and their sins were cleansed by the Lamb of God.

Jesus suffered in Gethsemane and on the cross.  He paid the eternal price for our sins.  He is the Author of our Salvation.  He was resurrected with an immortal and glorious body.  As a sign of His Atonement, He kept the marks of the nails in His hands and feet.  He also kept the spear wound in His side. These are there to remind us of His sacrifice for us.  That sacrifice made it possible for us to repent.  He is very powerful.  It is important to know that He was a willing sacrifice.  He could have smitten the Romans with His power, but He allowed them to do their worst to Him that He might suffer and die and pay that eternal price for our sins.  He also became the first to be resurrected.  Because of His resurrection, we all will be resurrected.

NOTE:  This drawing can be found by clicking on the button labeled "Religious."  Then scroll down to the bottom of the New Testament section of the Religious list of drawings. By the way, the Bible says He will be wearing red.  Maybe it is just the sash... I don't know.

Unicorn Mare views Her Realm coloring page

This is my free coloring pages blog.

Today's new drawing is a cartoon drawing of a Unicorn Mare.

Unicorn Mare views Her Realm

Unicorns often disguise themselves magically and run with wild horses.  These Unicorns usually become leaders of the herd.  Of course, Unicorns are far more intelligent than horses.  In fact, Unicorns are as intelligent as Faires, Elves, and Humans.  The Unicorns are also sentient creatures like the afore mentioned species.  This is a female or mare Unicorn.  She likes to go to overlooks to view her realm.  Many Unicorns like to do this.  If they are winged Unicorns or Alicorns, then they will launch themselves off the cliff.  Since Alicorns can magically internalize their wings, we don't know if this is a Unicorn or an Alicorn.  This Unicorn or Alicorn is named Marsiah.

NOTE:  This drawing, in printable form, is found by clicking on the button labeled "Fantasy, Myths, and Circus."  Then scroll down to the bottom of the rather long list.  IF you are accessing this page in April of 2025 then the title of this drawing will be at or near the bottom of the drop-down menu.

Ceratosaurus coloring pages

This is my free coloring pages blog.

Today's new drawing is of the Jurassic Theropod Ceratosaurus.

Ceratosaurus Prowling

This dinosaur is called a Ceratosaurus.  It was a meat-eating Theropod.  It lived in the mid to late Jurassic Period.  It was a medium-sized Theropod.  The first specimen was around 18.7 feet long.  That is 5.69 meters.  It weighed up to 2100 lbs. Another species was up to 23 feet or 7 meters long.  The larger species may have weighed up to 2200 lbs or more.

There may have been three species, but this is controversial. The different-named species might be different stages of growth of the same species.  There is evidence that Ceratosaurus lived in Europe, North Africa, and North America. The first finds were in Colorado and Utah.

There is some evidence that the Ceratosaurus was driven to extinction by the newer predator, the Allosaurus.  Allosaurus was quite a bit larger.  There were three short horns on Ceratosaurus's face.  The name "Ceratosaurs" means "horned lizard."  It had osteoderms down the length of its back and much of its tail.

NOTE:  This drawing, in printable form, is found by clicking on the button labeled "Paleontology."  Then scroll down to the bottom of the Mesozoic section of the drop-down menu.  Then, click on the title of this drawing.  Below are two older drawings of Ceratrosaurs.
