Santa Feeding Baby Rudolph coloring page

Santa loves this free coloring pages blog.

All of the drawings were done by me... except for about 7 done by

a grandniece and grandnephew.

Today's new drawing is of Santa from when Rudolph was born in the spring...

many years ago.

Santa Feeding Baby Rudolph

Most of us love the stop-motion Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer children's program. I am one of those who love that movie.  I was born with a birth defect so I felt different much of my life.  I had a tracheotomy for 8 years when I was a child and I have one now as well.  So the story of Rudolph being different and yet winning the day was wonderful to me.

However, I have it on good authority that Santa NEVER rejected Rudolph for being different.  Santa respected variety in living things - people, elves, animals, and Christmas trees.  So this drawing shows Santa feeding Rudolph some corn to help cheer the young reindeer up.  You see, Rudolph WAS bullied.  I can relate to that too.  But my parents and friends helped me feel like I was able to do anything.  So I swam with my trach cored.  I herded cows, burned weeds on our farm, and fed the pigs.  I played drums in the school and later the BYU band.  So I am a big fan of the Rudolph story, but I am certain Santa was kind to Rudloph, just like my friends Kurt, Mike, Jim, Greg, Julie, Natalie, Richard etc. were to me.

So now you see why I drew Santa being kind to the young Rudolph.
