This is my free coloring pages blog.
There are over 2500 drawings to print for coloring.
Today's new drawing is of a beautiful animal of the Old World.
Ibex and White-backed Vulture
There are several species of Ibex. Ibex has a spectacular set of long horns and Ibex are very nimble on the rocks of the mountains. Some species can live above 14,000 feet. That is 4,267 meters above sea level.
Ibex are native to several parts of the Old World. That means Africa, Asia, and Europe. They are in the Genus of Capra. The largest species of Ibex is the Siberian Ibex. It can be up to almost 5 1/2 feet long and stand up to 3 feet 7 inches at the shoulder. That is 1.1 meters. Although if you count the horns a big male Ibex is much taller. The males can weigh up to 290 lbs or a mass of 130 kg.
This drawing is from a photo I took of a stuffed Ibex. I do not know its species but I will add the species' name here when I find out. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy coloring this drawing. It includes a White-backed Vulture. So this drawing must be of an African Ibex. They are called the Nubian Ibex. Its scientific name is: Capra nubiana.
The large bird is a White-Backed Vulture. It is the most common vulture in Africa so that is why we can conclude that this is a Nubian Ibex.
