Welcome to my Free Coloring Pages Blog
I was in a lot of pain yesterday so I drew a lot.
Below are three drawings of beautiful young women I met recently.
Drawing people is way more challenging than drawing dinosaurs or animals.
So because it is more challenging I am more distracted from the severe pain I am experiencing.
So thank you to you three beautiful and kind young ladies.
Drawing you was the best medicine to distract me from the pain.
I had been severely tempted to take narcotic pain meds, which I DO have on hand
for when the pain is excruciating. But taking Tylenol and drawing you three
did the trick. I was once very dependent on narcotics for my pain so
I started drawing more and started this blog to help distract me. The pain meds
had been changing my personality.
So, today's first drawing is of a Mermaid.
The second is of a Damselfly Fairy.
The third...
Meikelia the Mermaid
You may remember that I drew Meikelia previously, as a Water Nymph. I am sure you are aware that Mermaids can transform into humans with legs when they go on land. Well, a Mermaid can also turn into a Water Nymph. Mermaids prefer marine or ocean environments. But some Mermaids like fresh water as well. in order to go into the freshwater of lakes and rivers and streams the Mermaid changes into a Water Nymph. Water Nymphs look much more human-like, they just have webbed feet and sometimes webbed fingers. When Water Nymphs go onto land they use magic to transform their webbed toes and fingers into more human-like digits. Both Mermaids and Water Nymphs tend to be very beautiful sentient beings... meaning they are much like humans and Fairies with very high intelligence. In fact, Faires, Merpeople, and Water Nymphs are actually types of humans. Meikelia is no exception to the beauty rule. She is one of the most beautiful women I have ever met. She spends much of her time in mortal form working on training people in water sports. As you can see, she really loves doggies. She is seen here with her own doggy she has in the Mortal World. Her doggy likes to go out on a small rubber raft to hang out with Meikelia when his master is swimming in a lake or in the ocean.
This is Bia the Damselfly Fairy. She is a beautiful Fairy with lovely dark eyes and dark hair. Bia loves damselflies but she also loves dragonflies. Both damselflies and dragonflies are in Order Odonata. In their larva stage, damselflies are predatory small water animals that feed on other larvae, such as mosquito larvae. Damselfly larvae have gills on their tail and live in freshwater for from 2 months to 3 years. When they emerge as adult damselflies they are again predators of mosquitos. Dragonflies are very similar in their lifetime. So if you see damselflies around be grateful.
In this drawing, we see Bia in Fairy size (5 inches or 12.7 cm.) ...standing in very shallow water with 2 friendly damselflies nearby. She is standing where the edge of the river has flooded out some grass that was on the bank.
Abigalia is a Swallowtail Fairy. She is a lovely young Fairy who loves butterflies. Of course, she especially loves Tiger Swallowtail Butterflies. She was born with wings that look a great deal like those of the Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly.
On this Swallowtail Fairy drawing feel free to color in the black areas more fully. FYI the Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly has black markings and stripes on yellow wings. Abigalia's wngs should probably be colored the same way. But of course, it is up to you. Also, some Tiger Swallowtail Butterflies have yellow-orange or outright orange wings. I should mention that the printable pages scan in PDF files so the drawing lines etc. will be darker.
