Hi!  This blog has & will have both information and coloring pages. There is scientific information and information on fantasy animals, along with my "waxing philosophical" once in a while. Both adults and children should find this blog interesting.  Children benefit in a number of ways from coloring with crayons.  Among these are coloring builds eye-hand coordination, develops fine motor skills, increases the ability to concentrate, it helps relax them, develops patience, helps develop the ability to concentrate, gets them use to holding a writing utensil, improves handwriting skills, and develops creativity.   Both my wife and I find coloring pictures a relaxing activity.  So its good for adults too!

We have in this blog wonderful coloring pages that you can save and print. Use the link at the top of the page...where it says:  "Free Printable Downloads".  Feel free to give copies to kids and students. Please do not post my blank coloring pages. Instead, you can link to the pages on this blog or the coloring page downloads.  The more detailed, colored drawings etc. that are NOT coloring pages are not to be printed from this site.  They are Copyrighted by me, Robin Lyman and prints or printable downloads are not available on this site.

The pages with dinosaurs have up-to-date information and current theories on that type of dinosaur.
Pages on fantasy animals will have information on that mythical or imaginary beast.  This information on animals, fantasy or real, is knowledge I have learned over many years of study and teaching.  I am a retired Science Teacher who also ran a Paleontology Club and a Science Fiction and Fantasy Club for 15 years.  I also taught, along with science classes, both  Paleontology Classes and  Science Fiction Classes.  I have taught both public and private school on both Elementary and Secondary School levels.

Education:
I have a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Psychology w/ emphasis in Pre-Medical and
      Developmental Psychology from Brigham Young University
I have training as a Respiratory Therapy Technician
I have  Post-graduate Teaching Certifications obtained through BYU, the University of Utah and Utah Valley University.
I have a Masters of Teaching In Geoscience from Mississippi State University
I have done postgraduate research on extinct mammals and volcanoes   .
I have taken classes in:  Evolution, Paleontology, Biology, Zoology, Chemistry, Oceanography, Astronomy, Geology, Ecology, Environmental Science, Botany, and of course Art and Drawing.
Special thanks to Tim Bird of Artist Corner for teaching me Drawing over several years of art classes     at Artist Corner...in Orem, Utah.
I read Science Fiction and Fantasy novels frequently.
I also continue to take classes and study and read books on Paleontology, Astronomy, and any science.

Work History:
Less than one year as Respiratory Therapy Technician
11 years as lower grade specialist Elementary Teacher
1/2 school year teaching High School, all subjects, including Art and Science
16 years as Jr. High/High School Science Teacher

Wife:
My wife has taken most of the same classes and has a degree from BYU in Geology and the same Geoscience degree from Mississippi State as I have.  (We did the Masters Degree together.)  She, my wife, is also a retired Science Teacher.  She also worked as a Geologist for 7 years.   My wonderful wife is also the technical expert as far as the computer work of doing this blog with coloring pages.

Disability:
I am limited in what I can do due to disabilities brought on mostly by a major birth defect.   Current problems: (heart failure, tracheotomy, R.A., & diabetes)  We will try to update and add pages  few times a week.  Many of these drawings were already done before my designation as disabled.  Please forgive us if we fail to update sometimes.  My health challenges can slow me down sometimes.  Still, we will do our best to keep the coloring pages coming!
