There are drawings of religious drawings, plus drawings of dinosaurs, animals, military vehicles, Fairies, Mermaids, Elves, Unicorns, aircraft, birds, and drawings for many holidays.  

Today's new drawing is of a dinosaur that actually could swim.  

Natovenator the Swimming Dinosaur

Natovenator was a small Theropod dinosaur from what is now Mongolia.  It was about 18 inches or 45 cm. long.  It was a diver and a swimmer like a duck or a goose.  Natovenator has even been called a "goose-necked dinosaur.  Side note: Did you know that even goslings or baby geese can dive 40 feet underwater when they are only one day old?   And some species of ducks can dive over 65 feet down.  

This dinosaur, Natovenator, was streamlined and clearly a diver.  So you COULD call it the swimming and diving dinosaur.  It had teeth for catching and eating fish although it possibly swallowed its food whole.  But if it caught a larger fish it had the teeth to tear the fish to shreds and eat it that way. Natovenator was covered in feathers like a diving bird, but it had those teeth instead of a beak. But, of course, some dinosaurs DID have a beak.  And there is evidence that many if not most species of dinosaurs COULD swim.  In fact, Spinosaurus had an aquatic lifestyle and could also dive for fish.

Today's new drawing is of a Healer Fairy named Vanessia

Vanessia the Healer Fairy

Vanessia is a beautiful and gifted Healer Fairy.  Of course, she is also referred to as a Fairy Healer.  She is well-versed in finding the best botanicals to make into medicine.  Be aware that Fairy technology is actually far more advanced than mortal tech.  Like most Fairies, Vanessa lives underground in a well-lit miniature Fairy Village that was constructed under a large tree.  

She is seen here gathering water plants for medicinal purposes.  She will take them back to the hidden village for them to be purified into effective medicine.  She is wading in the river and she has chosen to transform into full mortal size.  Her natural size is about 5 inches tall.  She chose to be full mortal size in order to wade in the river.  Plants like watercress would be hard to harvest in Fairy form.  

Speaking of Fairy technology, Vanessa is wearing a flying belt or Balteaus Valorum.  She uses this hi-tech device to travel at speed for long distances.  Almost all Fairies can fly, but they can only fly for short distances without their flying belt.

3 More Easter Coloring Pages

 I drew three more Easter drawings at church today.

I actually drew several others for nearby kids. 

But here are three more Easter drawings for you to print and color.

Jesus with Mary Magdalene after His Resurrection

Jesus was resurrected three days after his execution on the cross.  He first appeared to Mary Magdalene in the garden where His tomb had been.  She had heard His voice and she thought He was the gardener but He spoke her name lovingly and she knew who He was.  She moved to hug him but He told her to not touch Him until He ascended to His Father.  Earlier Mary had come to the tomb - with another follower of Jesus named Mary.  They came with spices to anoint His body.  But they found an empty tomb.  Plus they had seen two angels that told them that Jesus had risen.  So imagine that the tomb in this drawing is behind Mary.  She has just turned and seen Jesus.  

The resurrection of the Savior is one of two of the greatest events in the history of the world.  The other great event happened only 3 days earlier.  That event was the Atonement of Jesus where he suffered and died for our sins... making resurrection possible for all of us.  

Took a break to celebrate Easter with my family.  We watched a kid's video about the Easter season and what happened in the Bible.  We ate and then read about Jesus visiting the Americas... as recorded in the Book of Mormon.  Then we read The Country Bunny And The Little Gold Shoes.  See my previous post on that book.  We also sang a Country Bunny song parody that my daughter and I wrote.  

So, finally, here is the two simple bunny drawings that I did in church today.  The above drawing was done in Church partially.  Usually, I give the drawings away but I had these two drawings left over.  I did 5 drawings of bunnies or puppies that I DID give away today.

Easter 2023 coloring pages

Jesus Has Risen

Jesus Christ IS our Savior.  He suffered and died to pay the eternal price for our sins.  So we can repent and be forgiven of our sins and one day live with Him and our Heavenly Parents.  Because Jesus resurrected we all will be resurrected one day.  Our bodies will reunite with our spirit and our new body will be glorious and perfect for all eternity!

Wise Kind Old Grandfather Bunny awards the Little Gold Shoes

I HIGHLY recommend this book.  It empowers little girls and anyone who feels marginalized.  It was my favorite secular Easter book of my childhood.  It has been around since 1939.  It was way ahead of its time.  The book is called:  The Country Bunny And The Little Gold Shoes.  I have done several drawings that were inspired by this great book!

The book explains how the Easter Bunny is actually 5 Easter bunnies and when Wise, Kind, Old Grandfather Bunny determines that one of his Easter Bunnies has grown too old and slow for the job he picks a new one from among all the bunnies.  

In the story, a little girl country bunny aspires to become an Easter Bunny one day.  She is ridiculed and laughed at for her ambition,  This story is just so impressive and empowering.  I will say no more. But if you have young kids or grandkids you should be reading this book to them.

This book has wonderful illustrations and I have drawn in that style to honor this beautiful book.  I have drawn at least one Country Bunny picture each year for several Easter seasons in a row.  This drawing is of when the Country Bunny is awarded the magic Little Gold Shoes after she has been very brave and very determined

(Daddy and Husband Bunny is mentioned in the book but never seen.   That is the only weakness of the book.  I think a Daddy Bunny teaching his kids to work would fit right into the story.  Also, as a husband, he could be portrayed as supporting his wife's ambitions to become an Easter Bunny.)

Bailiah the Elven Sheriff coloring page

Our model today is one of my medical caregivers 

from my recent hospitalization following surgery. 

Today's new drawing is of a Sheriff Elf. 

Her name is Bailiah.

Bailiah the Elven Sheriff 

Bailiah is a beautiful and powerful Sheriff Elf. That means she is a protector.  She works defending the Elven Realm.  She also works as an Elven Healer.  This drawing, obviously, is of her performing her Sheriff Elf job.  Of course, you could also call her an Elven Sheriff.  "Elven Sheriff" is a title for a Warrior Elf that protects the area nearby & IN the Elven village.  So an Elven Sheriff defends against orcs, trolls, and goblins but she patrols near or in the village.  

These Elves are trained to be Elven Healers as well.  Elven Sheriffs are specially trained in breathing problems because troll breath is quite toxic to the lungs.  And attacking trolls use their breath as a weapon.  Trolls use their breath as a weapon especially if they penetrate to inside the Elven Village.  They break into a home and exhale as powerfully as they can.  Their breath can disable or sometimes even kill an Elf.  Bailiah is a skilled Elven Warrior in her Sheriff position.  But she is also a compassionate and skillful Elven Healer when necessary.  

Of course, Elves are considered immortal.  But that only means they can live on and on IF they are not killed in battle or by an accident.  The Elves that fall victim to the breath of a troll need respiratory treatment as soon as possible in order to prevent further damage or even death.  Of course, Elven medicine uses both herbs and Elf magic.  

By the way, her name, "Bailiah" means "sheriff" in both Old French and Middle English.  Middle English is a version of English between old English and modern English.  It was a period of about 450 years.  Middle English was spoken between about 1150-1500.

Laniah the Centaur Warrior and other Centaur coloring pages

 Welcome to my free coloring pages blog. 

Today I am back to honoring the excellent hospital staff that took care of me last week. 

This drawing is of a  Centaur Warrior.

Laniah the Centaur Warrior

Laniah is a Noble Centaur.  She is also a leader of the Centaur Warriors.  As an officer in her Centaur Tribe, she is very powerful.  She is beautiful but knows that beauty is dependent upon your behavior.  So she is wise and she is merciful when she can be.  She also will listen and agree to peace negotiations when possible.  But when faced with unrepentant trolls or orcs she is a force of Nature.  

Just so you know, Centaurs have been part of Greek Mythology for centuries.  According to Greek Mythology, the god Zeus mated with a Cloud Nymph, and their offspring was Kentaurus - the first Centaur.

While watching the first session of General Conference I was inspired to draw a picture of our Savior at Gethsemane.  There were talks about the absolute importance of the Atonement of Christ.  I was touched.  In one talk a modern apostle said that we celebrate the religious side of Christmas but often forget to celebrate the religious side of Easter.  And Easter should be the celebration of the Atonement and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.  And those were the most important events in the history of our world!

This is a drawing of when Jesus was in the Garden of Gethsemane and first asked that the bitter cup be taken away.  But this drawing shows the moment He told His Father, "Thy will be done."  Then Jesus began to take upon Himself the eternal punishment for all of our sins.  That was so difficult that even He, the Son of God, bled blood from every pore.  That pain returned when He suffered on the Cross.  

It is important to remember that Jesus did not die because he was a victim of cruelty from his own leaders' jealousy.  Nor did he die as a powerless victim of Roman cruelty.  Jesus had the power to stop what was happening at any time.  He WILLINGLY suffered and died for us.  Then in three days, He was resurrected.  

That means we all will also be resurrected.  The level of glory of our resurrected and perfected body will depend upon our life here on Earth.  Good people ...(including all people who repent... and that is all of us who believe) will clearly have more glorious bodies for eternity.  Evil people will be far more limited by their eternal bodies.  They were not willing to receive a higher degree of glory.  Good people will be far more blessed in the eternities.  

Those who have repented of their sins, strived to keep God's commandments, received the ordinances of Exaltation (baptism, Temple endowment, eternal marriage) and kept their covenants and served God by serving others will be able to dwell in the Celestial Kingdom with our Heavenly Parents and our Elder Spirit Brother, Jesus Christ.  

I want to add one more thing... the source of light in this drawing is the face of our Saviour.
