Spicomellus the Oldest Ankylosaur and Tendaguriterus - of the Jurassic Period from Africa

Today on this, my free coloring pages blog,

we have a coloring page of two Jurassic animals from Africa.

Spicomellus and Tendguriterus from Africa

Spicomellus is a recently discovered Ankylosaur.  It was from the Middle Jurassic Period.  It was 14 feet or 4.26 meters long and covered in spikes. The longest spikes were almost a yard or just under a meter long!  This was a seriously armored animal.  Its name means spiked collar. But nearly its whole body was spiked. It needed protection from Theropods like the 26-foot-long Afrovenator.

Tendaguriterus was a small Pterosaur, also from Africa in the Jurassic Period.  Its wingspread was only about 32 inches or 1 meter wide. It had a mouthful of sharp, long teeth and fed on fish.
