Nyasasaurus One of the First Dinosaurs coloring page

This is my free coloring pages blog with over 3000 drawings that I have drawn and posted.

Today's new drawing is of one of the very first dinosaurs.

Nyasasaurus

Nyasasaurus was a very early Theropod from the Triassic Period, about 200 million years ago. It was between 7 and 10 feet long and weighed up to 145 lbs.  It was an ancestor to the later Theropods like T. rex and Allosaurus and Velociraptor.  It may or may not have had protofeathers.  They were found in Tanzania.

NOTE:  This drawing is found in printable form by clicking on the button labeled Paleontology.  Then scroll down to the bottom of the Triassic Life section.  Have fun coloring this early dino... after you print the drawing.  (Google Drive is requiring me to post this in printable form later. Sorry.)

Captain Moroni by a Fortified City coloring page

You have found my free coloring pages blog.
I have drawn over 3000 coloring pages for you to print and color.

Today's new coloring page is from The Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Christ.

Captain Moroni by a Fortified City

Captain Moroni was a great man.  He was made commander of the Nephite armies when he was only 25.  He fortified the Nephite cities by having his men heap up mounds of earth all around the city.  Then he also had them place pickets on top of it.  When the Nephite dissenters and Lamanite army showed up they were flabbergasted by the fortifications.

More than being a great commander, Captain Moroni was a great man.  He was righteous.  He rejoiced in protecting his people but he never loved killing.  This is part of what makes a great soldier in my opinion.  Being very wise and very clever is also part of being a great soldier.  Captain Moroni was all of these things.

NOTE:  This drawing, in printable form, is found by clicking on the button labeled "Religious."  Then scroll down to the bottom of the Restoration list of drawings.  Click on the title and you can print the coloring page.

Simone Biles coloring pages

Welcome to my free coloring pages blog.

There are over 3000 pages to print and color here.

I drew almost all of them.

Today's new drawings were inspired by the recent Olympics.

Simone Biles the Greatest Gymnast Of All Time

Simone Biles is absolutely amazing on many levels. She won the All-Around Gold Medal at the recent Olympic Games in Paris.  She overcame so much to get back to the Olympics.  She even took two years off of Gymnastics for her own mental health.  Then she came back so strong as to boggle the mind.

Simone Biles portrait

I'll tell you that as a coloring page, it is impossible to capture the true physical beauty of a person.  Of course, true beauty comes from far more than physical traits.  Simone is so resilient and strong.  I admire her no end.  She could easily have said that she was done with gymnastics and if that was best for her then that would have been fine.  But she had more to share with us and she shared it via her spectacular performances.  She also was and is clearly a good sport and not selfish.

NOTE:  These drawings are coloring page drawings so they are not an exact likeness.  I have added no background so feel free to do so as you color the drawings.  To get to the printable versions of these drawings then click on the button labeled "Sports."  Then scroll down to the bottom of the list of sports drawings.  There are not very many of these.  Click on the title and you will get a printable page.

5 Scriptures coloring pages

Hi everyone!  Sorry, I haven't posted in a while.

We’ve been watching the Olympics.

Tomorrow am posting five or more drawings- all

.based upon scripture stories.

I am now posting these drawings but it will take a while to post all of them.

FYI... I will probably be drawing the Olympic athletes

Simone Biles and Gabby Thomas, plus maybe Suni Lee... in the next few days.

Look for those pictures soon.  Sorry about the delay in getting the below drawings published.

Abraham saved by an Angel

This story is in the Pearl of Great Price, a scripture from the standard works of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  It tells of how an angel saved Abraham when he was living in Egypt.

I have drawn this story before.  See below.

Abraham and Angel vs Preist of Elkenah

(older drawing)

The Unselfish Rebecca at the Well

This is a great story from the Holy Bible.  Abraham sent his senior servant Eliezer to go back to Abrham's home country and find a wife for Abraham's son Isaac. At the well, Eliezeree prayed for guidance and the unselfish Rebecca was the answer to his prayers.  She drew him water after his long journey in the desert.  Then she offered to draw water for his camels.  There were ten camels although I only drew one.  This was a great deal of work - considering a thirsty camel can drink 30 gallons of water. That means Rebecca drew 300 gallons of water from the well!

Rebecca was considered beautiful.  But after drawing 300 or so gallons of water from a well Rebecca was probably a sweaty, wet, and dusty mess.  But she had proven how unselfish and giving she was!  So after she drew all that water for him and his animals and maybe for the other men in the company too, Eliezer told Rebecca his errand and put bracelets on her and a ring on her finger. Then he said she could be the wife of his master, Abraham's son.  She and her family willingly agreed.  So Rebecca went to Canaan with Eliezer and his caravan.  She and Isaac had a great marriage. and she became one of the matriarchs of the Children of Israel.  By the way, Rebecca and her family were kin to Abraham.

Alma the Younger is Zapped by an Angel

Alma the Younger was the son of a prophet.  His story is found in the Book of Mormon in the Book of Alma.  He was a rebel who was openly and sneakily striving to destroy the local church of Jesus Christ.  Alma the Younger's father was of course Alma the Elder.  And Alma the Elder was the head of the church and the prophet.  The father prayed for his son to find repentance and the angel showed up to give Alma the Younger the opportunity to repent.  The angel was also clearly putting a stop to Alma's efforts to destroy the Church of God.  Alma had friends who were with him and they all saw the angel.  Four of his sons were princes whose father was King Mosiah.

Alma felt the pains of hell as he felt guilt for his many sins.  But Alma chose to turn to Christ and repent and HE, Alma, later became the head of the church or prophet. This all happened in the New World somewhere.  It shows the power of transformation that comes with repentance. Repentance of our sins is possible because Jesus Christ paid the eternal price for our sins.

Jesus by Jerusalem in the Sunshine

Jesus is our Savior. When we sin we have an eternal price or penalty to pay. And we are unworthy to return to live with our Heavenly Parents.  Jesus suffered and died to pay that eternal price or penalty.  Because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ, if we repent and try to do better, we have the opportunity to return to live eternally with our Heavenly Parents.  Plus we will be able to live with our worthy family members from Earth.  Praise the Lord for His Atonement!  He must love us so much.

Joseph Smith in Liberty Jail

Joseph Smith was the first prophet of the modern dispensation.  He was persecuted severely.  He was in an ironically named prison called "Liberty" Jail for months and months including over the winter.  While he and several associates were there (including my own great-great-grandfather) the Saints or members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints were being thrown out of their homes in Missouri and forced to leave the state.  My great-great-grandfather was Amasa Lyman.  He was "allowed" to leave the jail but was chased by armed men who were intent on killing him.

While in Liberty Jail Brother Joseph cried out for help from Heavenly Father.  The answer Joseph received is so comforting.  God told him that all the suffering would be for Joseph's good and that he, Joseph, would one day return to his family and friends.  This is found in the book of modern scripture we call the Doctrine and Covenants.  By the way, Liberty Jail was basically a miserable dungeon.

NOTE:  I will be putting these drawings in the "Printable" section of this blog, but not until tomorrow. It is bedtime and I am a tired artist.
