Fairy coloring pages

You have found my free coloring pages blog.

Today's new drawings for you to print are of

a Potato Fairy and a Tropical Fairy.

Potato Fairy

Yes, there ARE Potato Fairies.  They guard and care for the potato fields.  They are known to start loving potatoes quite young.  This young Potato Fairy is named Papaia.  She is also known to put charms on the mortal farmers who are working at planting, watering, and harvesting the potatoes.  These charms are positive charms that cool off farmers in the summer and warm them up on cool days.  So, Potato Fairies are kind to farmers and love them as well.  It has not been unheard of for a Potato Fairy to marry a farmer.  Of course, the Potato Fairy has to transform to mortal size and magically internalize her wings.  I should add that there are also male Potato Fairies.

Tropical Fairy on Monstera deliciosa Leaf

Monstera deliciosa is a tropical plant with large, deeply lobed leaves. It is native to Mexico and Central America.  It is actually toxic to pets and people, and yet it is a common house plant.  Its large, deeply green leaves are quite beautiful.

This drawing shows a female Tropical Fairy resting on the leaf.  Fairies are actually impervious to plant poisons so they have no fear of the leaf's toxins. In fact, Fairies are impervious to any toxins found in nature.  They can even ride poison dart frogs.

This drawing is a kind of portrait of Tropica.  That is the name of the Fairy.  Because it is a portrait, there is no background to the drawing.

Potato Fairy with Farmer

I mentioned that there were also male Potato Fairies.  Here is one of them.  He is also a young Fairy.  He is showing a Yukon Gold potato to his farmer friend. His name is Terre.  The farmer is named Fred.   And to all the farmers out there: THIS is what I looked like when I was farming.  So don’t be offended if in this picture you don’t see yourself (metaphorically speaking).

NOTE: I have not yet posted these three drawings in the printable section.  I will try to do that tomorrow.
