Jesus close up at Sea of Galilee coloring page

This is the first of several drawings I did recently.

My wife and I are currently fighting COVID-19 here at home.

I have not had the energy or moxie to draw detailed drawings.

All of the drawings I am about to post are done in ink and

they were done rather quickly.  They are not super-high quality,

but they are still going to be fun for younger kids to color.

There are samples from several of the categories of drawings on this blog.

Usually my drawings are done in pencil and then copied to turn them

into ink drawings before they are scanned for posting.

But again, all of the following entries are done in fine-point ink marker.

FYI the drawings done in pencil can be more detailed and actually better because

I can erase mistakes.  These ink drawings have to be done in one take.

The first of these drawings is of our Savior.

Jesus close up at the Sea of Galilee

Jesus was and IS our Savior.  To be saved we must believe in Him and keep His commandments. In this picture, there are fishermen out on the Sea of Galilee.  The closer fisherman just threw a net.

NOTE:  This drawing, in printable form, is found by clicking on the Religious button and then scrolling down to the New Testament section.

Macquenzia the Stream Fairy coloring page

This is my free coloring pages blog.

Today's new drawing is of a stunningly beautiful fair-haired Stream Fairy.

Macquenzia the Stream Fairy
(with wings internalized)

This drawing is of a lovely young blonde Stream Fairy.  She is named Macquenzia.  She is far more than just physically beautiful.  She is beautiful on the inside.  She is kind and caring.  And THAT is actually far more important than physical appearance.  If there is a possibility of being seen by mortals all Fairies can internalize their wings.  This is a magical gift they have,  In this first drawing Macquenzia is seen with internalized wings.  In the second drawing, she has her wings externalized.

It is quite a contrast and a beautiful one, to see Macquenzia with her translucent gray wings out and visible.  The contrast is her dark gray translucent wings to her brilliant shining blonde locks. To be clear, Macquenzia is indeed a Fairy of Light.  Do not let her darkish wings fool you.  Of course, if she allowed you to see her you would see a kind look on her face that would eliminate all your fears.  Speaking of her face, I want to say that in this medium of coloring pages, it is a real challenge to capture the true beauty of a Fairy.  But I did the best I could.  Notice that it must be either early morning just after sunrise or close to sunset.  You know this because the shadows indicate the horizon placement of the sun.

Macquenzia Stream Fairy with Externalized Wings

We, mortals and Fairies, all have an aura.  If we choose to reject goodness and light then our aura fades and goes dark.  If we embrace goodness and light then our aura deepens and brightens.  Interesting that Fairies of Light can detect light and dark auras.  This skill helps them recognize whether a mortal they meet is safe or dangerous.

The Fairy world has many who are believers in Christianity.  Many Fairies converted when Christianity first came to what is now Ireland, the UK, and Northern Europe around 800 to 1200 A.D.  Before that Faires were often mischievous and often downright dangerous to mortals.  With their conversion to the Gospel of Peace, the majority of Fairies converted to Christianity.

Some tribes rejected the Gospel and they are now known as Dark Faires.  The Christian Fairies are actually called "Fairies of Light."  The Dark Fairies will sometimes start a war with the Fairies of Light but with "The Creator's" assistance the Fairies of Light have always won those wars.

All Fairies can transform from their traditional 5 inches tall to full mortal human size.  Mortal size is helpful sometimes.  Being mortal size helps Macquenzia wade in the stream.  Stream Fairies love watercress and they also are great at catching fish like trout.  Gathering watercress from a stream or fishing for trout requires Macquenzia to be mortal size.

Notice that I mentioned that Macquenzia is young.  She is in fact, a young adult Fairy.  Fairies age and take about 18 years to become an adult, just like mortals.  However, Fairies then age much slower and many live to be over 100.  At around 100 years of age, an elderly Fairy can choose to undergo "The Change."  In The Change, a Fairy transforms into the Spirit realm or Spirit World.  Their physical body vaporizes and their Spirit goes into the Spirit World.  The Spirit World is here on Earth and really throughout the universe.  It is an alternate reality that we mortals rarely can see.

I also want to add that Macquenzia has a beautiful singing voice, as does her mother.  They recently sang a Christmas carol and all who listened were entranced.  Yes, Fairies of Light DO celebrate Christmas.  Of course, they do.  And they have the most beautiful voices.  Part Fairy part mortal people also have lovely and often spectacular voices.

If a Fairy marries a mortal they do have copatible DNA.  Some "mortals" are part Fairy.  If the first generation of half Fairy half mortal choose, they can live in the Fairy realm.  Or they can live among mortals.  Often those who choose a mortal life will go on vacation to the local Fairy village.  Those villages are usually a place of great peace.  A part mortal part Fairy person still keeps the amazing singing voice.

Two more Christmas coloring pages: Nativity 2023 and Santa

 Merry Christmas Everyone!

These two drawings are for Christmas 2023.

The first drawing is of the Nativity.

The second drawing is of Santa.

I also want to add that there are a two other new

Christmas Coloring pages when you scroll down a ways.

They are coloring pages of a Little Drummer Boy and Little Drummer girl.

Nativity 2023

Did you know that the manger where Jesus lay was probably made of stone?  The birth of Jesus was very important in the history of the world.  He was and is the Messiah.  More accurately he is OUR Messiah.  Because of His sacrifice in Gethsemane and on the Cross, we all can be forgiven of our sins.   Because of His resurrection, we will all get our bodies back in perfect form at the resurrection.  I love Jesus.  He made and makes it possible for me to repent and be worthy to one day return to our Heavenly Parents and live with my wonderful wife and family for all eternity!

Santa giving Seeds to a Reindeer

I have always liked the idea of Santa Claus.  I think of him as kind of an immortal person.  I was once in a UPS store near Christmas time and I heard a little boy say, "I figured it out, Mamma!  Santa Claus is John the Beloved!"

I thought that was funny at first, then after I thought about it I realized the little boy might have a point.  John the Beloved was one of Jesus' apostles and he was granted the opportunity to remain on the Earth in immortal, but not resurrected form.  He will be here secretly doing good until the resurrected Savior returns in His power and glory!

NOTE:  These drawings, in printable form, are found by clicking on one of the following buttons.  For the Nativity drawing click on the button labeled "Religious" and scroll down to the bottom of the New Testament section.  OR it can be found under the "Holidays" button in the Christmas section.  Remember that new drawings are always at the bottom of the list.  For the Santa drawing look under the "Holidays" button in the "Christmas section.   Now, since I mentioned John the Beloved here, I added a drawing I did of him that was in a previous post.  Maybe after he wrote the book of Revelations he became something of a Saint Nicholas.   It makes sense to me!

I should add that there are quite a few Christmas Coloring Pages under the "Holidays" button.  The newer drawings, near the bottom half of the list of drawings, are in general better done.  I got better at drawing over the years.

New Huge Pliosaur from the Jurassic Coast coloring page

This is my free coloring pages blog.

Today's new drawing is of a newly discovered huge Pliosuar from the Jurassic Coast.

New Huge Pliosaur from the Jurassic Coast

This is a recent discovery in Southern England in what is known as the Jurassic Coast.  What was found was a well-preserved 6.5-foot-long head of a Pliosaur.  Pliosuars were short-necked Plesiosaurs.  They were the top marine predators of the Jurassic seas.  This one lived around 150 million years ago.  The size is estimated to be approaching 50 feet long.  That would be over 15 meters long!

Pliosuars preyed upon smaller Pliosaurs, long-necked Plesiosuars, and even sharks.

NOTE:  This drawing is found in printable form by clicking on the "Paleontology" button and scrolling down.  Have fun coloring!

The Little Drummer Boy & Little Drummer Girl coloring pages

This is my free coloring pages blog with hundreds of drawings that I have done...mostly.

A grandniece and grandnephew did a few of them.

Today's new drawing is of The Little Drummer Boy and...

The Little Drummer Girl.

I will explain shortly.

The Little Drummer Boy

The song The Little Drummer Boy is one of my favorite Christmas songs.  It is not exactly from scripture, but it has such a nice thought to it.  I was a drummer for years.

The Little Drummer Girl

In Jewish tradition, it is actually the females who play hand drums, so that gave me this idea.  Notice the newborn lamb in the foreground.  The lamb is symbolic because Jesus was the Lamb of God. He died for our sins.  That means that His atoning sacrifice makes repentance possible for the rest of us to be able to repent of our sins and one day return to live with our Heavenly Parents.

These drawings, in printable form, are found by clicking the "Religious" button.  Then scroll down to the New Testament section.  Go to the end of that section to see this pair of new drawings.  The New Testament section seemed the appropriate section to post these two new drawings.  I know that there are no Little Drummer Boys nor Little Drummer Girls mentioned in the Bible. But I think it is nice to think of them.  Clearly, Jesus influenced many people during his life.  I am sure that not all of the people of His day who he influenced are mentioned in the New Testament.

OOPS!  I gotta play with grandkids so the printable versions of these drawings will be posted in a couple of hours.

Iani the Early Iguanadontian from Utah coloring page

This is my free coloring pages blog.

I drew all the drawings except a few done by a grandnephew and a grandniece.

Today's new drawing is of an early ancestor of the well-known dinosaur called Iguanodon.

Iani the Early Iguanodontian from Utah

Iani smithi was a herbivorous dinosaur from what is now Utah, USA.  It was an ancestor to the much better-known Iguanodon.  In fact, Iani smithi is a very recent discovery from the Eastern part of Utah where many dinosaur fossils have been found.  Iani lived in the Mid-Cretaceous when the Earth went through a rough time.  Many volcanos were going off.  The Rockies and other mountain ranges were building as well.  All this tectonic and volcanic activity resulted in a large increase in carbon dioxide in the Earth's atmosphere.

All the extra CO2 led to a massive increase in the temperatures worldwide.  This temperature increase put stress on plants and animals.  Some species disappeared.  Over time many species still managed to adapt to the changes in climate.  Iani appears to have been a survivor since its descendants lived to the end of the Mesozoic.  However, it is possible that Iani smithi is a species that WAS an ancestor to the late Cretaceous Iguanodons, and yet some of them remained and were wiped out by the increased temperature of their environment.

Iani was about 10 feet or 3 meters long.  It had powerful jaws for crushing leaves, stems, and even roots.  It was named for the Roman god of change.

NOTE:  This drawing can be found in printable form by clicking on the "Paleontology" button and then scrolling down to the bottom of the Mesozoic Life list.  Have fun coloring.

Jakobi the Dunedain Ranger coloring page

This is my free coloring pages blog.

Today's new drawing (done by me) is

Jakobi a Dunedain Ranger

Jakobi the Dunedain Ranger

Dunedain Rangers are descendants of a union of Elf and Man.  As a result, they are stronger, more sure-footed, and longer-lived than a mortal man or woman.  Rangers are those members of the Dunedain who chose to become protectors of many parts of Middle Earth.   These Rangers live a nomadic lifestyle... although all are close to the Elves and often live for a time in Elven villages.

Jakobi is also a healer.  Many Dunedain Rangers are skillful at healing disease or injury.  Jacobi is tall and athletic.  Although he IS very skilled at fighting like all rangers, he is also very VERY skilled at healing those who are injured or sick.  He spends the most amount of time in the forests where he lives temporarily with Elves and other Dunedain people.  In the field, he travels with other Rangers.

NOTE:  This drawing is a long time in coming.  My apologies to the model.  To get to the printable version of this drawing just click on the button labeled "Fanasy, Myths, and Circus."  Then just scroll down to the bottom of the list of drawings.  Click on the title and you will get the printable page.

Nikolia the Sloth Fairy coloring page

This is my free coloring pages blog.

The new drawing today is of a Sloth Fairy

 from Costa Rica,

Nikolia the Sloth Fairy

Nikolia is a beautiful and kind Sloth Fairy.  She cares for sloths, especially baby sloths who have been orphaned.  Here Nikolia is seen with a baby sloth she is caring for.  The baby's mother was taken by a predator.  So Nikolia is filling in as a surrogate sloth mother.

Like all Fairies, Nikolia can change to various sizes.  Here she is about 1 foot t or 0.30 meters tall.  This size is good for being relatable to the juvenile sloth. Baby sloths mass at only 300-500 grams at birth.  That works out to around 10-17  ounces.  They can hold onto their mother and climb immediately.  This particular baby sloth is not a newborn.  It is about 7 months old.

Note:  This drawing has now been scanned and posted now that we have got home from Costa Rica.  The drawing is on the “Fantasy, Myths, and Circus” page.  It is also on the "Animals" page.  Click on the correct button and then scroll down to the bottom of the list of printable drawings.

Rositica the Crocodile Fairy coloring page

Welcome or welcome back!
This is a free coloring pages blog!

Rositica The Crocodile Fairy

Rosicita is a strikingly beautiful Costa Rican Fairy.  She cares for baby caiman and baby crocodiles. She can transform into her mortal size to do this. She has a relationship with all members of the crocodilian family.  She can use a hypnotic charm to calm any animal but especially crocodilians.  Here she is calming a baby croc that got trapped on a branch during a flood.  Of course, all members of the crocodilian family are rarely hostile to Fairies.  Crocodilians can sense that a Fairy is not mortal.  Fairies also have powerful defensive magic.

Note:  This drawing is now posted in a higher-quality form.  I originally posted it as a photo of the drawing because my wife and I were on vacation in Costa Rica.  This drawing is now also available in printable form by clicking on the button labeled: "Fantasy, Myths, and Circus."

Racheliah the Elephant Fairy coloring page

 Welcome or welcome back!

I am home from vacation.

So I am now posting a better-quality scan of this drawing.

It is of Racheliah, a lacewinged Elephant Fairy.

Racheliah the Elephant Fairy

I need to explain a few things.  Racheliah is an Elephant Fairy.  Like all Fairies, she can transform from a very diminutive size to larger than most mortals.  Here she is seen riding one of her beloved African Elephants.  She is probably around 6-7 feet tall.  But remember that her natural size is around 5 inches tall.

Racheliah transforms to a large size so she can ride her elephant friend.  She will protect him from poachers.  She travels in magical ways from Los Angeles, California to Africa to voluntarily help protect elephants.  She uses concealment charms to hide her presence but she also can use concealment charms to hide the vulnerable elephant from poachers!

NOTE:  I am now re-posting this drawing in more quality form now that we have returned from our vacation in Costa Rica.  At home, I can scan the drawing and get a much better quality of posted and printable coloring page.  This drawing is now posted in the "Fantasy, Myth, and Circus" page.  It is a printable one on there.  So click on that button and scroll down to the bottom of the long list of drawings.

Alexio the Southern Serengeti Warrior

Hi!  I’m still on vacation but I met this kind man and he let me draw him.  He is from Tasmania.  His name is Alexio.  If all Tasmanians are as kind as him then I wanna travel there next.

Alexio the Southern Serengeti Warrior

Note, I am home from vacation so I have re-posted this drawing with a quality scan.

I am also posting the printable page under "Portraits."  Just click on the "People & Portraits" button and

scroll down to the bottom of the list for a printable drawing.

Vacation

Hi everyone!  I wanted to let you know that I will not be posting anything on my blog for several days.  My wife & I are going on vacation to Costa Rica.  My doctor said that the lower altitude and warm humid air will be good for my trachea.

When I get back there are 3 more people I promised to draw and then I’ll draw animals we saw in Costa Rica!
