Welcome back to my free coloring pages blog.
Today's new drawing is of a Fairy from India.
Her name is Divya and she is from Southern India.
Divya the Bee Fairy from India
First of all, I want to admit that I know very little about the Fairies from India. I DO know that they are found more often in the Southern part of India. They also tend to be taller than most other Fairies. Fairies in India are around 7 inches or 17.78 cm. Most other Fairies, in their natural state, are around 5 inches or 12. cm tall.
Divya is unusual for a Bee Fairy in that she has wings that are not lace wings like bees have. Even so, Bee Fairies are striving to help protect the bee population worldwide. Bees are responsible for something like 80% of our food. Bees travel from flower to flower and bring the pollen that fertilizes the eggs in the flower. Worldwide there has been a scary decline in the population of bees.
I should add that "Divya" is a common name in India. Interesting that a "Diva" is one name for an adult female Fairy.
Divya, seen in this drawing, is also obviously a Mushroom Fairy. Thus, she is sitting on a mushroom.
NOTE: To get this drawing, in printable form, just click on the button labeled "Fantasy, Myths, and Circus." Then scroll down to the bottom of the list. New drawings are at the bottom of the list. In fact, some of the early drawings don't work until you ask for permission. I will then get an email and I can authorize you to print the drawing. This is because of some kind of Google security update.
