Happy Thanksgiving!
This is my free coloring pages blog.
Today's new drawing is a cartoony Thanksgiving Turkey... BEFORE Thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving Turkey BEFORE the Big Day
(today's new drawing)
Happy Thanksgiving to you all! This is a stylized turkey for children to color.
Below is a drawing from a previous Thanksgiving.
Pilgrim and Native American Friend
(older drawing)
Yes, some Native Americans really were friends with some of the new immigrants from Europe.
One of my ancestors was injured after her ship sank near the shore. Her husband was killed and she was severely injured by the Native American attack. She hid in a hollow tree for 2-3 days and when she saw an arrow hit a deer she knew that there were Native Americans near. So she stepped out of hiding so they would put her out of her misery. She saw an older and younger Native American man. The younger man raised his tomahawk but the older man stopped him from hurting her. The older Native American man took her to his home and nursed her back to health. When she was healed he took her to a European settlement. She remarried and she and her husband were friendly with that tribe.
Her name was Penelope, and she was one of my direct ancestors.
NOTE: These drawings are found by clicking on the button labeled "Holidays." Then scroll down to the "Thanksgiving section of that list. There are several Thanksgiving drawings that you can print. The new drawings are found at the bottom of the correct section of the list.
