Bailey the Mermaid
I came across the idea that mermaids would use natural things found in the ocean for their clothing. Therefore I drew this mermaid with woven kelp or seaweed as her clothing on her torso. This kind of makes sense. . . after all, in the Bible, Adam and Eve wove fig leaves together to make their clothing after they partook of the forbidden fruit.
Today I met a helpful young woman named Bailey who is the basis for this mermaid drawing. Of course, Bailey is not really a mermaid.
