Lauren McCluskey Our Angel
This is a very sad post today. A wonderful person died a couple of days ago here in Utah, USA. Lauren McCluskey was one of those good and kind people who was friendly to everyone. She was also a driven and accomplished college student track athlete at the University of Utah. She was killed by an evil man who she had a relationship with for a short time. He had lied about his age and criminal record and he even lied about his name.
I attended the University of Utah one semester and it is a great school. All the local colleges had people wearing red (the University of Utah Color) in honor of Lauren. My wife, Laurel, who has a similar name to Lauren, also wore red today. I keep feeling so sad that such evil exists in the world. But Lauren was a Christian and she knew, as I know, that there is life after mortality. She is safe and at peace in the World of Spirits. She lived an exemplary life. She was a great student, she was great in her chosen sport, but more importantly she was nice to others. It almost makes me wonder if she was too good for this evil world so Heavenly Father took her home.
My prayers are with her parents, family, friends, teammates, coaches and teachers.
Note on the drawing: I hope this does not offend anyone who knew and loved Lauren. In fact, I hope that maybe it will help give them some peace. The drawing certainly is not perfect. It probably looks more like what Lauren looked like in 7th grade. I always have said that with the medium of a fine point marker it is impossible to capture the true beauty of God's children. Her dress and feet are in the cloud below her.
Printable Version of the above drawing is at the end of the list when you click on the All Printables button up top. The printable version is also under the Religious button at the bottom of the General Religious section. New drawings are always at the bottom of the lists. FYI it is Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 9:33 pm and I just posted the printable version of the drawing.
Jesus by the River Jordan
Since Lauren was and still is a Christian it seemed appropriate to add this drawing of our Savior by the River Jordan. The printable version is under the All Printable button and in the New Testament section of the drawings found under the Religious button.
