Jesus ascending into Heaven
(He first gave his disciples a charge to go preach the Gospel.)
Joseph Smith's First Vision
(Joseph Smith founded our Church. We believe that as a 14 year old boy he was visited by Heavenly Father and the Son of God Jesus Christ. We believe that Heavenly Father and Jesus are separate and distinct individuals. Jesus told Joseph that he, Joseph would be an instrument in the hands of God in restoring the true Gospel and Church of Jesus Christ to the Earth.)
Abraham and Isaac The Binding
(The Jews have a tradition that Isaac ASKED to be bound when he found out
that God had commanded his father to offer him as a sacrifice.)
Abraham is stopped by an Angel
(Of course, an angel stopped Abraham from offering up his son Isaac.
It had all been a test of Abraham's and perhaps Isaac's faith in God.}
Apostle Thomas and Apostle Bartholomew
(Tradition has it that Thomas and Bartholomew traveled to
Asia to teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.)

The Plan of Salvation
(We believe that before we lived on Earth we lived as Spirit Children in a premortal live with our Heavenly Parents. Or Heavenly Parents HAD glorified bodies. We passed through a veil of forgetfulness to come to Earth and receive a mortal body and to be tested and tried. At death our body and spirit separate and our spirit goes to the Spirit World where it is to continue its progression.
Those who knew the Gospel and accepted it on Earth teach toe Gospel to the spirits who did not have that opportunity while living in their mortal bodies. We eventually are resurrected. That means we receive a glorified and resurrected body. Of course the place we go to live and our level of glory depend upon our deeds and faith on Earth during our test. So, we all are guilty of sins. . . so Jesus Christ came to Earth to suffer and die to pay the punishment or price for our sins. So He is our Savior because if we have faith in Him and repent of our sins we can go to live with our Heavenly Father and Mother and Jesus Christ in the Celestial Kingdom. There are 3 Kingdoms of Glory based upon what people are willing to receive and based upon their repentance or lack thereof. . . and of course based upon their deeds on Earth.
Together in the Celestial Kingdom
(We believe that in the Celestial Kingdom we will be able to live with our spouse and family forever in glory and happiness. Of course we need to be sealed for time and all eternity in one of the Temples of our God. That is why we build temples. We believe that Families are Forever.
