Alexiadriah the Healer Fairy coloring page

This is a new drawing that was done in detail.

The model is one of the three people I agreed to draw... but I had not

done the drawings due to having COVID.  I am doing better now.

So, here is a drawing of a beautiful Healer Fairy named Alexiadriah.

Alexiadriah the Healer Fairy

Alexiadriah is a Healer Fairy.  She is seen here gathering watercress from a forest or mountain stream.  She is actually spectacularly beautiful!  But like many beautiful women (or female Fairies), she doesn't really know how beautiful she actually is.  She is a Healer Fairy and that should tell you that she has a good heart.  You could also say that she also has a kind heart.  So she is both beautiful and very kind.  And a healer also has to be very intelligent - so she is that too.  She works with older and injured Fairies.  Although Fairies can live for an incredibly long time, they DO get old eventually.

Alexiadriah is gathering watercress to use in Fairy Medicine and Fairy dishes.  Fairies actually have higher and more advanced technology than we mortals.  They can extract certain nutrients from the watercress.  Fairies also can fly using just their wings.  But they have advanced hovering technology that they use to allow them to fly at great speed & for great distances.  Alexiandriah is wearing a Balteum Volantes or flying belt.  This belt is what contains the hi-tech to fly so fast and so far.

So why is Alexiadriah gathering watercress?  Well, it is a superfood.  Watercress supports both vision and bone health.  It also is known to enhance athletic performance.  Plus watercress has a high nutrient density - especially in Vitamin K.  These nutrients help Fairies perform at a high athletic level when they are flying or doing anything really.  Some nutrients in watercress are particularly good for senior Faires... or senior humans.  Those ingredients include carotenoids, zinc. and Vitamin C.

Carnotaurus with Stripes coloring page

This is the last of several ink drawings I did when I had COVID.

I will be working on some drawings of some people who agreed to be drawn.

To you three people, sorry about the delay.  COVID took away my motivation

and I could only get myself to draw simple ink drawings.

Those three fantasy character drawings of you three will be posted over the next few days.

This last drawing is of a Carnotaurus.

Carnotaurus with Stripes

Carnotaurus was a large but not huge Theropod dinosaur that lived in what is now Argentina, South America.  It lived in the Late Cretaceous.  It had two horns on its head that may have been for sexual display or to identify other Carnotaurs.

Although Carnotaurus bore a simple resemblance to a T. rex, it was quite a bit smaller.  T. rex could grow up to 44 feet long.  Carnotaurus was about 25 feet long.

In the excellent movie "Disney's Dinosaur" they call it "a Carnotaur" or "two Carnotaurs" The Carnotaurs are the top predators in the movie.  But, they are definitely drawn too big.  Iguanodon, in reality, was a 33-foot-long herbivore and Carnotuarus was only 25 feet long.  That is NOT how they are portrayed in the movie.  However, Carnotaurus was an Albelisaur and there WERE other somewhat larger Albelisaurs.  All Abelisaurs had shorter snouts and narrower snouts compared to most other Theropods.

Mommy Rabbit and Baby Bunny coloring page

This is another ink drawing coloring page.

My 4-year-old granddaughter asked me to draw this picture.

Mommy Rabbit and Baby Bunny

Our granddaughter loves bunnies.  She especially likes a drawing of a bunny and her mommy.

F-86 Sabrejet coloring page

Here is one more ink drawing.

Remember that these drawings are done in ink so

they have less detail than most of my more recent drawings.

These ink drawings are also less perfect.

But they will still be fun for kids to color.

By the way, there are three people I will work on drawing soon.

Sorry about the delay.  COVID really has cramped my style for 2 weeks.

All I could talk myself into doing were these simple ink drawings.

F-86 Sabre

The F-86 Saberjet was the primary USA high-altitude fighter jet of the Korean War.  It had a wingspan of 37.5.  It was 37l1 feet long.  The American fighter pilots were better trained than the Soviet, North Korean and Chinese pilots.  These pilots were flying the MIG-15 against the American F-86.

The F-86 could fly at a top speed of 685 mph.  It could climb at a rate of 9,850 feet per minute.  It had a combat range of over 1000 miles.  It first flew in October of 1947.  It had an armament of six .50 caliber machine guns.  9860 Sabrejets were built, of various versions.

Captian Moroni coloring page

This is my free coloring pages blog.

Today's new drawing is another quick ink drawing.

Don't be too critical of my ink drawings.

I can't fix errors so this drawing does have some problems.

Captain Moroni near a Nephite City

I have done drawings of Captain Moroni before.  He was a great Nephite general.  He believed in defending freedom and only fought wars to defend his people.  He was also a Christian who held to his beliefs.  On top of that, he was a very good general who believed in making preparations for war in case the enemy attacked... but not starting the war.  He also used strategy to deceive the enemy and win the battle and war.  He is described as a very good man who loved freedom but did not love war.

Note:  This drawing, in printable form, is found by clicking on the "Religious" button and then scrolling down to the bottom of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints / Book of Mormon section.

Another Firefly Fairy coloring page

As I mentioned a few days ago, I have several drawings that were

done rather quickly in ink.  SOME pencil shading was done in

some of the drawings.  These drawings today are kind of

a sample from several categories of drawings

on this free coloring pages blog.

However, they are done faster than some of my better drawings.

I will continue to post these drawings, starting with a Firefly Fairy.

Please remember that these are fast drawings in ink so I

could not fix mistakes nor draw in great detail.

Firefly Fairy with Firefly by a River

Firefly Fairies are nocturnal and love to play with Fireflies.

In fact, Firefly Fairies are friendly to Fireflies. This drawing

shows the firefly near the water feature of a slow-moving river.

Fireflies love slow or stagnant water.

Triceratops near an erupting Volcano coloring page

Hi everyone. For my regular visitors, I apologize for not posting in a while.

We had COVID and I did not feel up to posting for a while.

Today our new post is of a Triceratops horridus

Triceratops near an erupting Volcano

Triceratops horridus was a 30-foot-long herbivorous dinosaur that lived in the late Cretaceous Period at the same time as Tyrannosaurus rex.  It had huge brow horns for both defense and very likely for sexual selection... meaning to impress the females.

The Pterosaur in the drawing is a Pteranodon, a common Pterosaur from the late Cretaceous Period.  Pteranodon had an 18-foot or 5.6-meter wide wingspan.  It was a toothless fish eater that may have dived into the water to catch fish.

The erupting volcano in the distance is a growing stratovolcano.  It has clear lava flow evidence and it is in a large eruption with lava bombs and lava AND ash blowing out of the top.   Stratovolcanoes have ash eruptions and then lava eruptions that create a layered effect on the volcano.

You may have noticed no little spikes or triangular bones along the edge of the frill.  John Horner, the famous paleontologist, has a theory that those bones are absorbed into the frill as the adult Triceratops matures.  He also theorizes that the horns start pointing forward only in fully grown and sexually mature adults.

This is an ink drawing with some shading in pencil.  The ink part was drawn with a fine-point soft-tip pen.  To get to the printable version of the drawing just click on the button labeled "Paleontology" and scroll down to the bottom of the Mesozoic Life part of the list.  Have fun coloring!
