Happy New Year 2026 message and coloring page

 Happy New Year!

This is my free coloring pages blog.

For this holiday, I have drawn Father Time and the Baby New Year.

Happy New Year 2026

And now I want to share a poem I wrote for the new year. The poem speaks for itself.

A New Year's Message

We know it has been a rough year

Nearly all have shed at least one tear

But time moves on, and we see

That there is time for us to be

To be and do things that are good

Like a good Christian should

We'll find that when we do

We will feel way less blue

Helping others along

Will improve our own life song

When we help the lost find their way

We'll have our own happier day

We should try to be a Good Samaritan

Where we strive to do all we can

To make others' burdens light

And we'll see less darkness and more light

Finally, remember to be kind

To both loved ones and strangers you find

Jesus said to love one another

That includes your father and mother

And also your sister and brother

And your husband or wife

Who brings such joy to your life

And the people you meet

At work or on the street

Just be kind and loving to absolutely everyone

That is the message from God's Only Begotten Son

Aurora el Hada Dragón página para colorear

Has encontrado mi blog de páginas para colorear gratis. Hoy he dibujado, para ti, para imprimir y colorear... ¡un Hada Dragón! Esto también fue publicado en inglés.

 Aurora the Dragon Fairy

Aurora the Dragon Fairy coloring page

You have found my free coloring pages blog.

Today I have drawn, for you, to print and color...

a Dragon Fairy!

This will also be posted in Spanish. See below for the reason.

Aurora the Dragon Fairy

Aurora is a Dragon Fairy. She helps take care of (& tame) modern Dragons. So, there ARE still Dragons out there, but the Dragon Fairies keep them tame and harmless. Dragons, like Fairies, have powerful magic and can hide themselves from most mortals.

Aurora is firm, but very kind as well. Here she is seen with a young Dragon. She is in mortal form, or more correctly, mortal size... in order to better train this juvenile Dragon. You may notice that she is wearing modern clothing. This is because she lives a double life. Like many Fairies do, she married a mortal. She has a career where she serves mortals, but she also has a part-time career in the Fairy Realm.  Of course THAT career is as a Dragon Fairy.  She is also very beautiful... and by that I mean beautiful on the inside as well as the outside.  Of course, a beautiful soul is by far the most important. I need to add that Aurora is also very brave. Even among Fairies, Dragon Fairies are well-respected and admired for the important and sometimes dangerous work they do. Aurora is known to work with Dragons who live in Mexico and Central America.

This Dragon is a juvenile Tepeji Del Rio Short Snout from Central Mexico. Oh, did I mention that Aurora is fluent in both English and Spanish? She lives in the United States of America, but her Dragon Fairy assignment is in Mexico. That is why I also posted this in Spanish.

TarTarRugia a Sereia Tartaruga Marinha (Portuguese) página para colorir

This is a Portuguese version of my last post.

Scroll down to see the English post.

Este é o meu blog gratuito para colorir.

O novo desenho de hoje é de uma sereia tartaruga marinha.

TarTarRugia the Sea Turtle Mermaid

TarTarRugia a Sereia Tartaruga Marinha

TarTarRugia the Sea Turtle Mermaid coloring page

This is my free coloring pages blog.

Today's new drawing is one of a Sea Turtle Mermaid.

I will also be posting this in Portuguese.

TarTarRugia the Sea Turtle Mermaid

Did you know that there are Mermaids that care for Sea Turtles? There are. THIS Sea Turtle Mermaid works with sea turtles near Portugal and Brazil. So she actually has a somewhat Portuguese name. She is named TarTarRugia. She is assisting the sea turtle in catching a jellyfish. There are two clownfish, a brain coral, a lobster, a pink coral, three jellyfish, etc.

TarTarRugia is carrying a magic trident. But in this picture, she is just swimming under the jellyfish to make them swim up where the sea turtle can catch one of them for dinner.  Sometimes, Sea Turtle Mermaids care for the eggs and help them stay safe in their dangerous post-hatching journey to the sea. Other times, they help sea turtles hunt and protect them from sharks. Without the help of Mermaids, the sea turtles would have significantly lower numbers worldwide. The Mermaids strive to protect sea turtles from motorboat propellers, but it is a difficult job. Many sea turtles are injured or killed by mortal boat propellers.

3 Mermaids: Avia, Tracia, and Ellia coloring pages

This is my free coloring pages blog.

Today I am posting 3 drawings that I did of Mermaids.

 Avia the Albatross Mermaid

Albatross Mermaids love to travel. They often make life-long friends with the ocean's great sky traveler, the Albatross. These Mermaids will, if the occasion arises, particularly in albatross nesting colonies.  Mermaids also help albatross escape fishing nets. Notice that this drawing has brain coral... where my initials are. In fact, all three drawings have my initials hidden in brain coral. Avia's top is made of woven and enchanted kelp leaves. She, like all Merpeople, has magical powers like Fairies.

Tracia the Mommy-To-Be Mermaid

Tracia was a Mommy-to-be. That is, she was pregnant. She has since had a baby boy, Merman. Tacia is raising the new baby Merman along with her other two Merman boys. Of course, someone as kind as her will not be surprised that she has a kind husband. Her husband is actually a mortal. So Tracia works portraying a Mermaid at a Mermaid show.  No one ever suspects that she is an actual Mermaid. FYI, like all Merpeople, Tracia and her boys can transform into their mortal form quickly. She can kiss her husband underwater, and he can breathe water, like his wife and children.

Ellia the Treasure Mermaid

Treasure Mermaids find sunken treasure. Then they often use the treasure to help the poor among the mortal population. They can transform into mortal form, and then they find a place where they can exchange sunken treasure like Spanish doubloons for modern money. Like Avia, Ellia is wearing woven kelp leaves that are enchanted to last for a long time. The leaves are actually still alive, so you should color them green. Kelp is actually a plant-like organism that does photosynthesis, but it is in the Kingdom Protista, not the Kingdom Plantae.

NOTE: These three drawings are found in printable form by clicking on the "Fantasy, Myths, and Circus" button. Then scroll down to the bottom of the page or NEAR the bottom of the page to find these titles. They will be there IF you are accessing this page in December or January 2025. After that, they will be further up the list. Have fun coloring these 3 beautiful and kind Mermaids.

The Holy Family in the Stable coloring pages

This is my free coloring pages site. Yes, it is a blog too.

Today, on this post, I am posting a redo of a drawing I did of the Holy Family.

They are depicted in the stable after Jesus was born.

In the NEW drawing, Mary is taking a nap with her eyes closed.

Both drawings are below. The first drawing is the original.

The second drawing is the redo drawing.

The Holy Family in the Stable with Jesus in a Stone Manger
This is the first drawing.

The Holy Family in the Stable with  Jesus in a Stone Manger and Mary napping
This version of the drawing has some slight changes, including Mary taking a nap.

Jesus was and is the Creator of the Earth. His Father, our Heavenly Father, and His Heavenly Father commanded Jesus to create the Earth for us. Our Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother are the parents of our spirits. Our spirits are inside our mortal bodies. We knew Jesus in our Premortal life. He was our eldest Spirit brother. Jesus had volunteered to pay the price for our sins... so He was to be our Savior. He had incredible power. He HAD to be powerful in order to create the Earth.

So consider that the Creator of the Earth was born in a stable. His bed was a manger - probably a stone manger. His parents were poor, not rich. They had just traveled a great distance. There had been no room for them in the Inn in Bethlehem. That is how they ended up in a stable for the night. So consider again that the Creator of the World was born in the humblest of circumstances.  He was the greatest example of humility ever!  His birth circumstances were so humble.

Then the Wise Men, probably a couple of years later, visited and gave valuable gifts. Those gifts helped the Holy Family flee to Egypt. The Holy Family became refugees because Herod wanted to kill Jesus. An angel warned Joseph in a dream and he fled with his family to Egypt before Herod's soldiers could find and kill baby Jesus.  (Although Jesus was probably a toddler by the time the Wise Men showed up.

I want to explain some of the details in this drawing. Some are symbolic, and some are representative of the times Jesus was born and what we know about the Holy Family.

Note that Joseph is a strong young man. He was a carpenter, and that is a physically demanding career.

Mary was certainly a beautiful young woman. In this drawing, she looks a little frazzled. She just gave birth in a stable.  Of course, she's frazzled. But notice that Mary has a relieved smile on her face. Her baby has been born, and He is the Son of God.

Chickens are in the drawing, and chickens are Kosher food for the Israelites, including the presumably Jewish innkeeper who probably owned the stable.

The black sheep is symbolic of how Jesus will save those of us who are the "black sheep" of the family. When anyone sins, and we all sin, He will show mercy if we repent. This is because he paid the eternal price for our sins.

Notice the dove on the perch. The dove is a symbol of the Holy Ghost.

The donkey is a Bethlehem Donkey.  They have unique features like a bit of mane going down near their shoulders.  From above, a Bethelehem Donkey's mane makes a cross. I only remembered to draw the unique mane in my redo drawing.

There is a lamb because Jesus was and is the Lamb of God.

The ox reminds us of Jesus teaching that we would pull our ox out of the mire - even if it were the Sabbath.  This is Jesus pointing out that we need to follow the spirit of the law more than the letter of the law. At least that is my take on it.

The ox is also a symbol of strength. Jesus was the strongest man ever to be on Earth because he bore the punishment for our sins while performing His Atonement in the Garden of Gethsemane and on the cross.

Although often portrayed as wooden, the manger was more likely made of stone cemented together.

The lamp represents that Jesus told us to be the light of the world so others would see our good works and glorify His Father in Heaven.

The horse is symbolic of royalty and strength, although Israelite kings also rode mules in ceremonial processions as a sign of their being kings of peace.  Jesus IS the King of Peace.

You can see the Star of Bethlehem about to set if you look through the open window.

Baby Jesus is wrapped in swaddling clothes. These were long strips of cloth used to wrap babies and help them feel safe and comforted.

The ram in the back of the stable represents power, sacrifice, and leadership.  One day, Jesus will return, and He will have all power and be the leader of everyone on Earth. In fact, many of the Christmas hymns we sing talk about the power and glory Jesus will have when He returns to Earth in His second coming.

NOTE: These drawings, in printable form, are found by clicking on the button labeled "Religious." Then scroll down to the bottom of the New Testament section to find these drawings. This will work if you are accessing this page around December or January of 2025.  ALSO, I will put this drawing under the "Holidays" button.  They will be found at the bottom of the list of Christmas drawings.  For fun, you could notice the other slight differences in the two drawings. Some are very subtle.
