Eubrontes giganteus the State Fossil of Conniticut coloring page

Today's new drawing is of a predatory dinosaur called Eubrontes giganteus.

Eubrontes giganteus was a large less-known Jurassic predatory dinosaur.  It is the state fossil of the US state of Connecticut.  In fact, there are several species of Eubrontes.  Those different species have been found in France, Slovakia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Spain, Italy, Australia, Sweden, China, and Idia. Eubrontes footprints have even been found at the Johnson Farm Dinosaur Footprints site in Southern Utah, at Saint George, Utah.  (I live in Northern, Utah.)  The footprints have been found in other states like at the Riker Hill Fossil Site in Roseland, New Jersey.  

In fact, a couple of 14-year-old boys took a mold of one of the Eubrontes' footprints and sent it to the then-President of the United States, Richard Nixon.  The boys are Paul Olsen and Tony Lessa.  That was in the 70s so they are not boys anymore. 

Eubrontes is only known from footprints... all over the world pretty much.  Those footprints may be from Coelophysis or Dilophosaurus... or a totally unique animal.  The estimated size of this Theropod dinosaur is 27.5 feet or 8.4 meters long.  It is estimated to have weighed 1300 lbs or 600 kg in mass.

This drawing is my idea of what Eubrontes looked like...IF it was similar to Dilophosaurus.  Hence the crests on the snout and top of the head... that are not quite like those found on Dilophosaurus skulls.

Jesus with a Dove of Peace

Jesus is our Savior.  He was a Man of Peace and yet he is also God the Son.  He had great power that he only used for good in His time on Earth.  He used His power to heal people and do helpful miracles like feeding the 5,000.  Jesus suffered and died to pay the eternal price for our sins.  Then after three days, He was resurrected.  Those were His two greatest miracles. 

Although a Man of Peace. when Jesus returns to Earth - resurrected for what is commonly called His second coming... He will first use his angels to slay the most wicked people on Earth.  Only GOOD people will be left to live on Earth for a 1000 years of peace.  

Notice that the dove has an olive branch in its mouth.  This is the symbol of peace.

Today's new drawing is of the newest Self Propelled Howitzer of the US Army.

The Paladin Alpha 7 is also called the Paladin M109A7.  It is a step above the Paladin A6 that you see below.  The A7 has upgraded electronics.  It is actually a significant upgrade in many many ways from the A6.  It can fire at a maximum rate of 4-5 205 mm rounds per minute.  It has a "shoot and scoot" feature to help it avoid enemy counterfire.  The turret has electrical power - including an automatic loader.  The Paladin A7 has a firing range between 22 and 30 km depending on the type of ammunition. 

The Paladin A7 measures 9.7 meters or almost 32 feet long overall.  It is 3.9 meters or almost 13 feet wide.  It is 3.3 meters or almost 11 feet tall.  It has a mass of 35,380 kg. or 78,000 lbs.  It has a maximum speed of about 38 miles per hour.  It can move its turret and point it while moving.  It has a crew of four that will really benefit from added armor and modern computer and electronics systems.  The Paladin A7 has a 5000-gallon or 1893-liter fuel tank and a 600-horsepower engine.  It has a travel range of 214 miles.  By the way, the Paladin A7 has a power supply rated at 650 amps and 24 volts of DC power.  That is enough power to run everything including turret and gun elevation etc.  There is no hydraulics on the new Paladin A7.

Today's drawing is a simpler drawing of a Unicorn for younger children to color.

Unicorn at Sunrise on Cliff

This is a drawing of a female Unicorn on the edge of a cliff at sunrise.  She is looking over her domain which includes a large valley.  There is a not-yet-blooming cliff rose on the cliff in front of her.  The sun can be seen rising over the snow-capped mountains.  This tells you that this Unicorn lives in a temperate climate and it is probably early summer or maybe late spring.  Also, see which is the happy tree!

I drew another Velociraptor coloring page drawing. 

Velociraptor & Protoceratops Face Off

Velociraptor was a smaller-sized dinosaur. It lived in what is now the Gobi Desert 70 million years ago.  Although that desert was a bit wetter back then.  It was a carnivore and probably a pack hunter.  It was only 6 feet or 1.8 meters long.  It weighed around 100 lbs or 45 kg... about the weight of a wolf or large dog.  It almost certainly was covered in feathers, although it could not fly per se.  It could possibly dive at prey and open its "wings" to help guide it in its attack.  It would have to be on higher ground to do this.  Also, Velociraptors had a killing claw on each foot.  They could either stab or slash although some evidence says that it did more stabbing than slashing.  

I have to add that although I love the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World movies, they actually coincidentally had a Utahraptor, not a Velociraptor.  They liked the name of Velociraptor but they wanted it to be bigger.  Then as the film was being produced and filmed in Hollywood, Utahraptor fossilized bones were found in Eastern Utah.  Utahraptor is pretty much the same size as Velociraptor in the movies.  But in reality, Velociraptors and Utahraptors probably had feathers and looked like oversized roadrunner birds.  

This drawing shows Velociraptor facing off against a herbivore called Protoceratops.  Protoceratops was a forerunner of the horned Ceratopsian dinosaurs.  Protoceratops were about the size of a modern sheep.

The huge pterosaur seen off in the background also lived in the Gobi Desert area 70 mya.  It is a recent discovery and had a wingspan of around 36 feet or 11 meters wide.  It may have eaten baby dinosaurs.

Jesus comes back to Earth in Clouds of Glory coloring pages

 This blog is full of my coloring page drawings.

Today's new drawing is of the Second Coming of our Savior Jesus Christ. 

Jesus comes to Earth in Clouds of Glory

Jesus' first time on Earth was not as a conqueror.  He was the Messiah who came to teach about how we should behave and think and, of course, He also came to Earth to pay the eternal price for our sins.  So He suffered in Gethsemane and suffered and died on the cross.  Then He was resurrected three days later and opened the door for us all to be resurrected.  By His Atonement, He made repentance possible and so if we repent and try to do our best we can return to live with our Heavenly Parents one day. 

It is important to note that Jesus, in His (sort of) mortal life, was NOT an unwilling victim of His people's leaders and Roman cruelty.  When He was on the cross Jesus had the power to come off the cross and smite all His enemies.  But He suffered and died for US, His spirit brothers and sisters.  You see, before He came to Earth Jesus, and all of us, lived in a pre-mortal life with our Heavenly Parents.  Jesus was our elder brother.  HE was chosen to come to Earth as our savior. When He returns to Earth, as he promised to do, Jesus will come in power and great glory.  So, it will be a big deal.  He will not be mortal, He will be a powerful resurrected being who actually created the Earth we live on.  He actually had that power in his mortal life, but used it to heal people and perform miracles like walking on water etc. 

The scriptures tell us that Jesus will return in clouds of glory.  The most wicked people on Earth will be slain and Jesus will return like lightning in the East.  Don't believe anyone who claims that Jesus came back in secret.  Jesus will return to start a thousand of years of peace on the Earth.  We call that 1000 years "the Millenium."  When He returns the good people who lived on Earth and have already died will be resurrected.  Wicked people will have to wait the 1000 years of the Millenium to be resurrected.  Then a great final judgment will occur that will assign us each to Eternal Glory - Celestial Kingdom....  Eternal Punishment - Outer Darkness.... and two in-between places of eternal rest.

Robinia the Healer Mermaid coloring page

Welcome to my free coloring pages blog.

Here is today's newest drawing that I have drawn.

It is a drawing of Robinia who is a Mermaid who specializes in healing.

Robinia the Healer Mermaid

Robinia is a lovely Mermaid, but she is also a healer.  In our mortal world, we might call her a doctor or a nurse or a CNA or a medical assistant.  She is swimming here near the edge of a kelp bed.  Mermaids use kelp for food and for its healing properties.  Since Robinia is working, she has her hair up.  This prevents the kelp from tangling in her hair as she searches for the best quality kelp in the kelp forest. 

You may have noticed the trident Robinia is carrying.  It is a special type of trident that has sharp blades on the inside edges.  Those blades are for cutting kelp.  Of course, Robinia can also use her trident for self-defense.  But it is more than it appears to be because Mermaid tridents are powerfully enchYou might notice that the shark is keeping its distance from Robinia and her magical trident.
