Congratulations to the Graduates of 2020 Coloring Page

Graduate 2020

The following drawing is of a young woman who is family to us.  She is a dancer and a recent high school graduate.  We are so proud of her.  She had a graduation photo of herself in an isolated place.  (There are lots of isolated places in a big desert state like Utah.) 

The photo was posted on Facebook and I was touched.  The photo kind of says it all.  No big graduation party, no walk onto the stage to get a handshake and your diploma that you worked so hard for. p

The COVID-19 pandemic changed so much for these young people. 

No hanging out with friends to celebrate etc.  And these young people probably missed proms, social time with friends, and they certainly missed time learning face to face with teachers while among their friends.

Some of these students missed opportunities for senior trips, participation in winter and spring sports, and for those in the arts: 

there were dance performances, band and orchestra performances, even on stage poetry performances... etc. etc.  

So, my heart goes out to these young people who had to adapt to online school and etc.  I also want to congratulate the College Graduates who had to make the same kind of adjustments to the end of their College or University senior year.

P.S.  I just darkened the picture for the PDF or Printable version so it is under the button: Holidays.

Conversion of Alma the Younger and of Alma the Elder too Coloring Pages

Conversion of Alma the Younger and the Conversion of Alma the Elder 

Alma the Elder or Alma Sr. (just called Alma in the Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Christ) had once been very evil.  He had been one of the wicked priests of King Noah.  But Alma believed what Abinadi taught and tried to defend the prophet.  

As a result Alma was cast out of the palace and the wicked King Noah sent soldiers out to kill Alma.  But Alma hid in the forest and secretly taught people the words of Abinadi.  The prophet Abinadi had taught the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  


Alma was able to baptize converts in the Waters of Mormon.  But eventually the King found out what was going on and he sent soldiers to kill Alma and the converts.  But Alma was warned by the Spirit and he and his followers fled into the wilderness and set up their own community many miles away.  

The story is long but eventually the Lamanites found where Alma and his people were living and made them into slaves.  But Alma and his people were good people and had great faith.  They prayed and the Lord made their burdens light.  That is what happens sometimes.  There are times when the Lord strengthens us so we can handle our trials.  And other times He removes the trials.  

In fact, eventually, the Lord DID help Alma and his followers escape the Lamanites.  Then years later, in the Nephite city of Zarahemla, the son of Alma (called Alma the Younger) decided to rebel against God.  

Alma the Younger even sought to destroy the church of God.  Alma the Younger persecuted the saints and lived very wickedly.  Some of his friends were actually the sons of King Mosiah.  Together they were a great hindrance to the progress of the Church.  

Alma (Sr.) prayed for his son extensively.  We know this because an Angel of God appeared to Alma the Younger and his friends while they were on their way to make more mischief.  The angel told Alma to seek no more to destroy the Church of God... even if he wanted himself to be destroyed.  

Alma the Younger was struck dumb and weak.  He was carried (by his friends) to his father.  Alma (Sr.) called the people of the Church together to pray for his son.  Alma the Younger was out for three days.  During that time he was awake in his mind.  He remembered his father's teachings and Alma the Younger cried out to Jesus and he was healed... in both spirit and body.  

Alma totally repented and when he came to he declared his conversion to everyone present.  This was a great event.  Alma the Younger went on to eventually be the High Priest of the Church and the prophet.  He traveled to many places to teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and he did a great deal of good in his life.  He was also the Chief Judge for a while.  That was like being the Prime Minister or President of the country.  

This drawing is of Alma the Younger when the Angel first appeared to him and called him to dependence.  This is similar to the experience that Saul/Paul had on the road to Damascus.  The difference is that Saul/Paul thought that God WANTED him to persecute the Church.  Alma was openly rebelling.  

This story goes to help us remember that we all can repent of our sins and go on to serve the Lord.  The Lord cares about what you are doing NOW... He does not care about what you did in your past, if you have repented and are trying to do good in the world.

Alma L'ancien ou Alma Sr .( juste appelé Alma dans le Livre de Mormon, un autre Testament du Christ)avait été une fois très mal. Il avait été l'un des prêtres méchants du roi Noé. Mais Alma a cru ce Qu'Abinadi a enseigné et a essayé de défendre le prophète.


En conséquence, Alma a été chassé du palais et le méchant roi Noé a envoyé des soldats pour tuer Alma. Mais Alma se cacha dans la forêt et enseigna secrètement aux gens les paroles D'Abinadi. Le prophète Abinadi avait enseigné L'Évangile de Jésus-Christ.

Alma La jeune fut frappée muette et faible. Il a été transporté (par ses amis) à son père. Alma (Sr.) a appelé les gens de l'Église ensemble pour prier pour son fils. Alma La jeune était dehors pendant trois jours. Pendant ce temps, il était éveillé dans son esprit. Il se souvint des enseignements de son père Et Alma le jeune cria à Jésus et il fut guéri... dans l'esprit et le corps.


Alma totalement repenti et quand il est venu, il a déclaré sa conversion à toutes les personnes présentes. Ce fut un grand événement. Alma le jeune a fini par être le Grand Prêtre de l'Église et le prophète. Il a voyagé dans de nombreux endroits pour enseigner l'Évangile de Jésus-Christ et il a beaucoup de bon dans sa vie. Il a également été juge en chef pendant un certain temps. C'était comme être le Premier Ministre ou le Président du pays.


Ce dessin est D'Alma le jeune quand L'ange lui est apparu pour la première fois et l'a appelé à la dépendance. Ceci est similaire à L'expérience que Saul / Paul a eu sur la route de Damas. Il ne se soucie pas ce que vous avez fait dans votre passé, si vous devez repenti et essayons de faire le bien dans le monde.

A conversão de Alma, a mais nova, e Alma, a mais velha, a mais velha ou Alma Sénior (apenas chamada de Alma no Livro de Mórmon, Outro Testamento de Cristo) já foi muito má. Ele tinha sido um dos maus sacerdotes do rei Noé. Mas Alma acreditou no que Abinadi ensinou e tentou defender o Profeta.


Como resultado, Alma foi expulsa do palácio e o malvado rei Noé enviou soldados para matar Alma. Mas Alma escondeu-se na floresta e secretamente ensinou às pessoas as palavras de Abinadi. O Profeta Abinadi havia ensinado o Evangelho de Jesus Cristo.

Durante esse tempo ele estava acordado em sua mente. Ele se lembrou dos ensinamentos de seu pai e Alma, a jovem, gritou para Jesus e ele foi curado... em espírito e corpo.


A Alma arrependeu-se e, quando voltou, declarou a sua conversão a todos os presentes. Foi um grande evento. Alma, o jovem, acabou por ser o Sumo Sacerdote da Igreja e o Profeta. Ele viajou para muitos lugares para ensinar o Evangelho de Jesus Cristo e fez muito bem em sua vida. Ele também foi o juiz-chefe por um tempo. Isso foi como ser o primeiro-ministro ou presidente do país.

Alma el viejo o Alma padre (sólo llamado Alma en el Libro de Mormón, Otro Testamento de Cristo) una vez había sido muy malo. Había sido uno de los sacerdotes inicuos del rey Noé. Pero Alma creyó lo que Abinadí enseñó y trató de defender al profeta.
