Unicorn Party coloring pages

Tomorrow my granddaughter has her Unicorn Birthday Party.  I did these drawings for that party.  These are all fairly quick cartoony drawings for small children to color.  My granddaughter is only just turning 4.  All the Unicorns are female or Girl Unicorns... except for Party Unicorn 6 and the Uncorn driving the Unicorn Monster Truck.  (Two little boys are going to the party.  Those two "Boy Unicorn drawings are for them.)   The rest of the party guests are young girls and most are cousins.  I think that the party guests are all under the age of 6.  I drew all these new drawings tonght.  The party is tomorrow morning.   I hope that other kids all over the world will have fun coloring these drawings.

Party Unicorn 6
(This is a male or Boy Unicorn.  Notice that his eyes have small eylashes.  This is a cartooning trick.  In cartoon drawings, females generally have bigger or longer eyelashes.
Males generally have smaller or shorter eyelashes.)

Party Unicorn 8
(I just added this one.  She is kicking a banana tree to get the fruit to fall.)

(Yes I know that the wheels are not perfectly round but,
hey, it was drawn for my 2 year old grandson.)

Tylosaurus with Large Scales

Tylosaurus with Large Scales
(Could be a close up of a baby.  This is a new drawing.)

This drawing has a Tylosaurus with large scales.  I drew it  based on a model from a NOVA episode on PBS.  It was an episode about the meteorite that wiped out the dinosaurs.  In fact, the previous post's drawing of Pentaceratops is based on the Pentaceratops in the same NOVA episode.   That asteriod, that hit what is now the Yucatan Penninsula in Mexico, wiped out the non-avian dinosaurs, the large marine reptiles, and the Pterosaurs.

By the way, a Tylosaurus was probably the biggest Mosasaur.  Mosasaurs were huge marine reptiles with a somewhat crocodile like body.  They had large heads, short necks, and long tails.  They replaced Pliosaurs in the oceans.  Pliosaurs were similar in size and shape but lacked a long tail.

Tylosaurus was up to 50 - 60 feet long.  That is 15 - 17 meters long.  There are lots of Mosasur teeth found in the Mid-west and much of Central New Mexico.  During the Cretaceous Period there was a seaway right up the middle of what would become the USA.  This shallow sea is called the Cretaceous Seaway.

Mosasaur Tooth with Root
(from artist's collection)

Artist's Note:  Looking beyond the Tylosaurus you see a distant Plesiosaur.  Plesiosaurs were long necked marine reptiles and most certainly were prey to Mosasuars like Tylosaurus.  After I looked at this drawing, after I posted it, I thought that the large scales actually make this look like a baby Tylosaurus.  Baby Tylosauruses would have been prey for Plesiosaurs and Sharks.  The shark in the drawing is a Cretaceous Shark.  They were a little bit different than modern sharks, but not much different.   There are some fish and a jellyfish in the drawing too.  To get to the printable vesion of the drawings go to the buttons up top.  Click on either . . . . Next scroll down to the bottom for the new drawing.  I am adding some older drawings of other marine reptiles below.

Pentaceratops

Pentaceratops in the Jungle

Pentaceratops was a relative of the better known Triceratops.  It was a Ceratopsian dinosaur with three horns like Triceratops, but with another cheek horn on either side of the face.  This dinosaur was found in New Mexico, USA, North America.  It weighed around 5 tons and was 20 feet or 6 meters long.  Since TRIceratops means three horned face.... Pentaceratops means.... you geussed it:
FIVE horned face.

Like all Certatopsians, Pentaceratops was an herbivore.  It ate plants.  It was probably more of a browser so it ate primarily leaves and probably not so much grass.  However, grass HAD evolved by the late Cretaceous and had even radiated to at least five species.

NOTE:  Unlike most my drawings, this one is done with a ball point pen.  My windshield was being replaced and I was without one of my felt fine point markers.  This new drawing is found in printable form by clicking on the correct button up top and scrolling down the drop down menu to the correct title of picture.  So click on the buttons labled either. . . . .

Allison the Weather Fairy

Allison the Impressive Weather Fairy

Weather Fairies are a rather rare type of Fairy.  They travel all over the world in an effort to make a difference.  They will seek out areas of the Earth under severe weather conditions and use their powerful Fairy Magic/Technology to intervene.  For example, where there is a drought on part of a continent they might analyzie the situation and do something like change the temperature of the ocean hundreds of miles away to help bring rain or/and snowfall to the area under drought.

SOME of these Weather Fairies choose to spend some time living as a mortal.  Basically they live a double life.  Because they love weather they are sometimes working as Weather Forecasters or Meteorologists.   Because Fairies, male or female, are particularly attractive, extremely intelligent, and generally kind people, they are often hired to be the meterologists who report the weather on TV.

Allison is one of these.  First she studied Fairy Science and Technology in the Fairy Education System.  Some of the advanced Fairy Tech involves the use of crystals.  The crystals are used to channel neutrino energy.  So that is why Allison the Weather Fairy is holding a crystal.  She is in diminutive form in this drawing so the crystal is actually a small piece of Topaz, from Millard County, Utah.  After her studies in Fiary Magic and Tech Allison used Fairy Magic/Technology to transform to mortal or human size, and studied both broadcast journalism and meteorology in mortal college.  She went on to work as a meterologist and journalist.  By the way, you won't ever see her wings on TV.  She uses a Fairy Charm to cloak her wings and her pointed ears.

Scroll to the bottom of the list on the drop down menu for the new drawing.

Below is a few pictures I took of Allison from off my TV screen as she was broadcasting the weather this morning.  This weather forecasting job is her mortal job, but I have no doubt that she also goes on assignment for the Fairy Queen to intervene in severe weather situations when needed.  Now, I will note that using a fine point marker it is impossible to capture the full beauty of such an attractive Fairy in Disguise.  And I will also note that true beauty, in my opinion, includes intelligence and kindness.  I don not know this Fairy in Disguise in person, but from what I have seen from Allison's work on TV, she is both intelligent and kind.  And you would need to be blind to not see that she is quite beautiful as well.  By the way, my wife and I got our Masters of Teaching In Geoscience from the same university where Allison did her mortal Meterology studies.  That would be Mississippi State University.

Mariah the Aussie Fairy

Mariah the Aussie Fairy

There are Aboriginal Fairies in Australia.  There are also those Fairies that transplanted from Europe with the First Fleet.  They snuck onboard at the command of the Fairy Queen.  The Fairies in Australia all get along.  Fairies rarely become war-like.  Soon the European Fairies were learning from the Aboriginal Fairies.

Notice the flying belt on Mariah.  Fairies don't NEED a flying belt for short distances.  But with a flying belt they can go far longer and far faster.  Fairies have very advanced technology.  Their tech is well beyond most mortal tech.  But Fairies also have a deep knowledge of uses of plants for nutrition and medecine.

The flower you see up front is a Kangaroo Paw flower.  There are several different species of this genus.  The Genus is Angozanthus.  They are pollinated by birds.  They are also used in traditional Australian Aborigine Medicines.  This is why Mariah is seen hovering over a Kangaroo Paw Flower.  She, Mariah, is studying with the Aboriginal Fairies to become a Fairy Healer.  Mariah, an apprentice Fairy Healer, is getting ready to use magic to collect parts of the flower for later medicianl uses.  Notice that her wand is at the ready.

Be aware, the fuzz on the flower can irritate skin.  Do not use any herb or flower for medicinal purposes unless you truly know what you are doing.

John 21, Jesus by the Sea of Tiberias or the Sea of Galilee

Jesus by the Sea of Tiberias in John 21

This is an illustration of Jesus on the shore.  Peter and some of the other apostles went fishing.  This was after the death and resurrection of Christ.  They went fishing at night.  In the morning Jesus came to the shore and called to them and asked if they had caught any fish.  They had not.  So Jesus told them to cast their net to the right side of the boat... and the net was instantly full of fish.  So Peter realized that it was the Lord so he dived in and swam to shore.  Jesus went on to tell Peter to "Feed my lambs and feed my sheep."

But this illustration is of Jesus on the shore.  It says in John 21 that the apostles found a fire with fish cooking on the coals.  This picture is of the fire burning down to coals and Jesus waiting on the shore as the moon is setting.  Night is almost over and soon he will be teaching his disciples or apostles.  I did NOT draw a sunrise because Jesus would have been on the West shore and the sun rises in the East.  Peter and most of the other apostles lived on the West shore of the Sea of Galilee or Sea of Tiberias.  The Romans built a city by the Sea of Galilee and named the city Tiberias after the second emperor of Rome.  They also renamed the sea the Sea of Tiberius.  I have seen the Tiberias and Tiberius as different spellings of the same word.

As I understand it, a disciple is a follower and an apostle is a special witness for Christ.  Indeed the Apostles traveled far and wide to spread the Gospel of their Lord and Master Jesus Christ.  Most of them gave thier lives or were martyred for teaching the Gospel of Salvation through the Atonement of Jesus Christ.

Jesus paid the eternal price for our sins so we can repent and one day return to live with our Heavenly Parents.  Yes we Latterday Saints or members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints believe that we all lived in Heaven as spirit children of our Heavenly Parents.  Jesus was there too and he was our elder brother.  He volunteered to die on the cross and be resurrected so that one day we can all be resurrected.  His sacrifice also made repentence possible.  So if we keep the commandments of God, server others, and recieve the saving ordinances like baptism and our Temple blessings.... one day we can again dwell with our Heavenly Father and Mother in the eternities.

We also believe that marriage and family is an eternal thing and we will be there with our Heavenly Family and our Earthly Family will be with us too.  A man and woman who are sealed for time and all eternity in the Temple get to stay married forever.   I know that this is different from what most Christians are taught in their church, but I have found that many Christians believe that they will be with their husband or wife and children in the next life.

Kailey the Woodland Elf Warrior

Kailey the Woodland Elf Warrior

Kailey is a Woodland Elf.  She lives in the forest and is loyal to the Woodland Elves Monarch.   She is a perimeter guard.  As such she has to be a scout as well.  She would have been one of the lookouts who spotted Thorin Oakenshield and the other Dwarfs who were with Bilbo.  Of course, Bilbo was using The Ring to hide himself from the Woodland Fairies.... and from the giant spiders.

Kailey is pictured here with her Elf Made sword.  If the sword looks familiar it is because it is similar to the one you may have seen Arwen use.  Below are photos of this type of sword.  It is called Hadhafang.  All swords modeled after Hadhafang are called the Hadhafang style of sword.  They are very popular with Elves, especially with the Female Elf Warriors.  Some slighter built Male Elf Warriors also use this style of sword.   Hadhafang style swords are lighter than many styles of sword, but they are still very strong.

Hadhafang swords have Elven runes.  The blade has inscribed on both sides:   i chthol hen, thand arod dan i thang an i arwen'.   In English this means:  this blade is called Hadhafang, a nobel defense against the enemy throng for a noble lady.

Here are photos of MY Hadhafang Sword.  I'm not a female, but I like the lighter sword.
